Patreon are rolling out a new feature they call "Charge Upfront". Basically how this works is that they charge as soon as a pledge is made, and then once every month. Previously, you would have to wait until the first of the next month before they'd charge you, meaning you would have to wait before you got your rewards.

Please note! If you pledge in the middle of a month, it will take up to 10 minutes before the system is updated and you'll be able to access your rewards. Rewards can always be accessed using this url:

What is "charge upfront"? How do I get it?

Charging upfront is a new option for monthly creators that lets them charge their patrons upfront as soon as they pledge. We have started a limited rollout of this feature and gradually more and more creators will get access over the coming weeks.
