After wrapping my head around fur authoring I’ve returned to the female cat. Doing iterations after iteration help me decide what can work and what doesn’t. For the next day I’m going to study various cat fur patterns since I’m eager to give the cat some fur too. The fur shader really kicks up the overall visuals a couple of notches and I believe the time we’ve invested in it was well worth it.

Here’s some wips and  a video demonstrating that the deformability of the mesh is still good. I’m learning Quixel Suite 2.0 too and I hope to post some wips from there as well.

As for the patron build - we know it is delayed already, but we had to push it some additional days. Perhaps there is some consolation in knowing that VR will be part of the release (although it’s most certainly going to be quite rough, since we don’t have a VR device ourselves and haven’t been able to test).
