Now, this is pure XPOP! One of the craziest MVs, and one of the most brilliant chorus ever. XG is untouchable at this point with the things they come up. Absolutely loved everything about this one, from the music, the rap, all the way to the INSANE music video. We know we got some other tracks to go through first, and are jumping around, but for this album, we'd love to check out the rest (especially that remixed version of Woke Up), so please let me know what we should react to next! Yeeesssss. I need to watch howls moving castle. Oh when you watch the video I think you'll understand this because somebody else brought it up and I agree wholeheartedly. This video is the concept baby of wake up and if you know you know. Their music videos are literally movies. Like it seems like so much money and time and effort went into everything and it's worth it because it is visually stunning. Please tell me y'all also got a hair erection as soon as the chorus came on? Because the pre-chorus was already stunning. Those vocals were amazing. But the actual how during the chorus gave me goosebumps immediately. And continues to do so every time I listen to it. You know what I agree Han-C. I said it gave movie quality in the beginning but I 100% of the week. It is beyond movie quality. See I was expecting a crazy high note at the end of that bridge and I'm kind of happy that I didn't get it because it subverted my expectation. But also at the same time. I really wish they did a wild high note. Oh I also need to watch that movie. I think the pre-chorus and the chorus are my favorite parts of this song hands down. And if I had to choose between both of those I would choose the pre-chorus as my favorite. Oh another reactor that I listened to. She said it reminded him of nature versus technology. Especially considering the "people" had QR codes for faces and then income these beings that have the skeletons and the flowers and the holes and just nature personified. And it's like a war between both of them and major is winning. Yes. Chills all around. This was amazing. So the world cup remix is nice. There is one part that I wasn't a big fan of, but all you hear are the people that are featured. You don't hear XG at all anymore. If you don't end up listening to the entire album than for sure, you should listen to IN THE RAIN.

The rest of the new mini album is definitely worth checking out; especially ‘In The Rain’ and ‘Is This Love’. ‘In The Rain’ might be my new favorite XG track. It’s a total R&B throwback and features vocals from the entire rap line!

I really love this one! And you're not wrong about the Princess Mononoke vibe - not just in terms of the wolf costume details, although that's the most obvious, but the scene with one member walking in the dark while grass and flowers bloom under her feet is mirroring a shot of the Great Forest Spirit doing the same thing. I'd also argue there's other Miyazaki references in there too, or at least that some of the visuals can be interpreted that way - the dragon is reminiscent of Haru from Spirited Away, and the visual theme of human ruins being taken over by vines and plants is like Nausicaa. And there's also, interestingly, another western pop culture reference in the lyrics, where there's a rap line about "game of hunger," which is obviously a play on the Hunger Games, and matches to Jurin's use of a bow (which Princess Mononoke does not use, but Katniss Everdeen famously does).

I think this is my new favourite XG song! It feels like it somehow contains all of their previous songs and took them to a whole new level that is familiar and yet completely new. The music video is insane as usual! I've seen concept art for all their individual characters like the skeleton king and the mermaid but I'm not sure how they relate to the lore so if someone knows pls tell me. It would be amazing if you guys could react to the rest of the album cause it's so good and the b side tracks have very different vibes to this one

It's funny when you mentioned the Moving Castle movie but I was thinking was thinking something else.. then I saw your mention of Led Zeppelin... and it click why it was so familiar, Marvel movie of Thor/Ragnarok.. probably dating myself but that was definite riding-to-the-beach with the windows-down/base bumpin, head banging early metal music.. Rock on ladies..
