I'm not too sure if Father did have any relationship with Apostle Kang in the past but if he did then he might have went for her daughter instead. As we know now that Father is doing this for his interest in younger female believers, Apostle Jo is for the money, and Apostle Kang is solely in for her beliefs and wanted to achieve salvation. They have shown a second time of the police bringing a drunk person to the cult so it's hinting us of who might also be in there if you go back to episode 1(probably relating to one of the main people in the group). Next ep is gonna be a tough one. As always you guys are nailing with your predictions and theories so far.

Yeah our team is getting caught up this episode and ion like det... but shout out to sang hwan tryna get the detective on board.
