Toni meeting his grandma, albeit nice, is definitely one of the weakest things of this drama. "What a small world" can't justify this particular "deus ex machina". Sure, things like this are quite common in not just K-Dramas but also other Asian dramas - i.e. you happen to fall in love with your mortal enemy, you become friends with a lawyer who happens to be your long-lost mother's attorney (Vincenzo), ... It's because in Eastern culture, they believe in "fate" or "destiny" in human relationships as in "those destined to meet will meet no matter what". The closest resemblance in Western culture would be the "6 degrees of separation" theory. But in this particular case, the sheer happenstance is too much to be considered as "fate". It's sort of an easy way out for the writer. I remember it being criticized a lot by the viewers when it first aired. And of course, Toni's dad had to have died in another car accident. What, is Korea the world's leading country in car accidents killing dads?

Irieezy.

Saeroyi made it his life mission to destroy Jangga to avenge his dad so him being clueless about other people's feelings is on par with his character. He doesn't care about his personal life/feelings until he brings the Jang family down. I felt bad for Yi-seo but she wanted his brutal honesty lol. Poor girl. Yeah, you guys are right, both of these women do not deserve this man haha so the love triangle wasn't something I cared for when I first watched Itaewon Class. It's just adding more drama for the sake of drama on this show lol. But I was definitely more team yi-seo because of her determination to help her boss get to the top. Anyway, can't wait for the next reaction! Thanks guys

I'm excited to see you get disappointed in one character that you have liked all along, not gonna name but you'll find out soon enough lol

I totally agree with what you guys were saying about Soo-Ah and Yi-Seo. Se-Roy is the man and he deserves the best. Soo-Ah and Yi-Seo have their flaws and moments. When I was watching this drama, my opinion was just like Harris'. Soo-Ah was there from the beginning so, It would have been a natural thing for her and Se-Roy to get together. And I would have been happy with that but, I then, started to lean towards Yi-Seo. Yes, she isn't the best but, one thing she always did from the beginning was support SR. She was always proactive and made sure to put the pub and SR, above everything, else. Even though, she looses sight of her surroundings and how she affects the others around her nonetheless, she is learning. SA on the other hand...yeah she was there from the beginning. She supported SR when his dad died and they were friends. But, after that...that's it. She is more focused on her job ( There is nothing wrong with that. It's her life). Not to mention, she said she likes rich guys while, SR was in jail which was rude and insensitive. ( I understand you Harris) It made me not like her so much.😅 Furthermore, she didn't do anything to help DanBam. Yes, I understand she is working for a different company. But, she could have at least done something to let us know she was "present" in his decision-making and the pub he was creating. But, nothing. She would just pop in and pop out. She was just a bystander. (I really tried to understand her, with her working for Jangga and all, but she could have done something. Idk). What SR needs isn't someone who watches but, someone who acts upon things and someone he can trust. That is where YS in on point. Even if she knew it would hurt her, YS still, confessed to him and showed him that she cares for him, as a person. She was proactive. Sure, SR confessed to SA coutless, of times but SA never confessed to him, before (face to face), even though she knows that SR likes her. SR gave her the decision to label what they could be, but, she never acted upon it. She had many chances. I also, found it funny how SA would tell YS that SR likes her and that he would never change his feelings. But, what has she done about his feelings? It is always, "SR likes me" but, what about her? She only confessed after a while, albeit it not being to SR's face, but to Geun-Won. This is just me, but, I felt like she was kind of stringing him along. Yes, SA might care for SR, but it seems it is not enough to let him know. 🤷‍♀️ SR nees a support system and someone who is proactive. YS happens to be that............ I am sorry. I am ending it here. Have a good morning, afternoon and night. Lml💜💀😂

One thing I just remembered to tell you guys.. if this age thing bothers you that much there are many K-dramas where there's a significant age gap between the leads both on and off-screen not only the male leads are older but there are also shows where the female leads are 10-11 years older it is not that big of a deal for most K-drama watchers but I have seen some people complain about it for me personally it's not too bad I mean why can't a 40 years old man or woman love a 10 years younger person. Right now Yi Seo is 19 (20-21 in Korean age) and SaeRoyi is 29 but imagine this after 5-10 years this age gap won't look too bad then

Also if it still bothers you then I wouldn't suggest you to watch *Goblin* lol.. I'm sure someone must have recommended it to you by now and if not then it will be recommended in the future because it is a classic.. It stars Gong Yoo from Train To Busan in the lead role but I wouldn't want you guys to cringe over a drama that lives in our hearts lol for more context I will write the synopsis for you guys Synopsis: Male lead is a 900 years old immortal who's cursed and the only person who can free him is his bride.. He waits for his bride for 900 years and his bride happens to be an 18 years old high schooler in the present time. Of course, there are many more things to the show it is hilarious, the bromance is the best I've ever seen, it gives you all the feels but I have seen people complaining about the age gap for both on and off-screen because Gong Yoo is 12 years older to the female lead even in real life. I really wanted you to react to it some day because it indeed is a classic and you will find it in the favorites' list of most K-drama watchers (yes it is that good) but the leads are more of the center of attention compared to Itaewon Class so I don't think anyone can ignore their age gap. Anyway, if you still decide to react on it some day I just wanted to make sure that you know what you are diving into. Good Day!
