Mr. Mediocre is probably not the best translation. She basically said "Not bad kiddo." Like, it was average, or just okay.

I find it interesting that Takeshi wants the Human Metronome. His hero is the perfect player, the unbeatable opponent, for him to push himself again. Almost like an unachievable goal. Emi wants the original Kousei. The little kid who played his heart out and made her see the sunflowers.

2024-01-22 00:35:29 Ugh I love my weekly feels sesh with you two and this show. Hiroko might be my favorite character. She's like a breath of air for both Kosei and the viewers after being stuck underwater for the first ten episodes. Also I realized in the post discussion that I wish in some alternate reality you two would react to Hikaru no Go. It's too nerdy and niche and long to ever happen I know, but that's the original sports anime rivalry (using "sport" loosely) and it's fun to imagine.

2024-01-22 00:39:50 More realistically I hope they somehow do Chihayafuru after this because it's about as beautifully animated, kind of the same "who do you ship more?" category, but 1000x more fun and not sad.

subbed to the patreon just for the reactions to this show. This is my favorite anime of all time. I really hope you continue to like it. The OST is absolutely incredible, and the lines in it are amazing. The piano animations are amazing. I've watched this show 6 or 7 times already. This show brings more emotion out of me than any other show I've ever watched.
