Daniel Molina

Now that you know the rematch is coming I recommend watching the ED for this season during your next recording…it will get your heart pumping and blood boiling even more 😬

Carlos Cantu

Early drop?!?!? Let's goooo

alexis ♡︎

HYPEKYUU IS COMING LETS GOO

bebe

OHHHH FYI ther's an end credit scene in ep 24 and extra short cut vid that you need to watch at the end of season 2. BUT dont open it unless you finished the whole season 2 as it might spoil you. here is the link : https://youtu.be/Lao54_hFaA0?si=9TRmDTR_uGaW4lYx

Carlos Cantu

***can we let Carlie's Daichi spoil SERVE as a reminder to us to be mindful of what/when we comment things because it sucks for people to get spoiled especially with this show

Hasy Arco

The movie updates was a treat enough for the night, didn’t expect to get a whole hypekyu meal too! 🤩 You guys are the best, thanks!!!!

Majoz

unforgivable if we dont see ep 24 on next upload:(

le

As an iwaizumi fanatic, him getting MVP rightfully made me so happy

Bibi

truth be told if I had both the guardian deity and captain compliment me on my receive I will be on cloud nine! Amazing job and well deserved compliments to Chikara!

Valeriu Irimia

exactly, also stop killing characters voiced by that specific VA. it still hurts

bebe

nah i bet they wanna want to do it until the end lol

bebe

no carlie, i seriously think that you need some cushion between u and ange moving foward lol

Cayseron

i love how hinata and kageyama often only hear selectively and only things they care about. for example in 2x19 when 3rd years from dateko were introducing and bragging about their new setter they called koganegawa "giant setter" and part that stood out to hinata was "giant" because he is obsessed with little giant, and thing that stood out to kageyama was "setter" cause... well... setter. its subtle thing that is easy to miss but i love these little gems in haikyuu's characters. similar to how when karasuno character see a new move that speaks to them we can see their reaction and pick up on it which makes it even more rewarding when we see them try and use those moves (just like how Ange noticed Tanaka trying bokuto's cross shot)

Mata Zombis

Omg I do hardly believe they gonna have a heartattack on next episodes

FTN Chicken

The actual MVP of Ep 20 was that trumpet solo right at the end

Hannan

i agree with daichi being MVP, esp as he only just came back from being injured!

Luís

Here's an extra incentive for Daichi to be MVP on episode 20: As you guys might have already noticed, at the start of every match the captains of both teams are called by the referee to shake hands. Right after this, the referee prepares for a coin toss by declaring one team as "heads", the other one as "tails". The team that wins this coin toss gets to choose if they're gonna start serving or receiving. Most of the times teams choose to start serving, since it's the most likely to result in a point. As you guys already noticed, Seijoh is a team that is well known for having strong servers, which makes this toss coin a even bigger deal than it usually is, every serve you can take away from them makes a difference. Yet, Daichi won the coin toss, then calmy declared to Oikawa with a grin on his face: "We will start receiving", after which he proceeded to receive every single one of Oikawa's serve in the first set. Savage. PS. This happens at 4:34 of this reaction, if anyone is curious to watch it again

Rae

Early Haikyuu?? Is it my birthday??

Aras Paty

I love how tou guys appreciate every player contribution from both teams..and I think Daichi was definitely the MVP.

Anonymous

Hey guys as always loved the reactions, just something I've noticed, sometimes when the screen is blurred it covers the subs at the top of the screen and we miss out on dialogue. A solution would be to blur the middle and leave the top and bottom visible. Just something to think about and I hope you have an awesome day

zzip711

Mad Dogs entrance is one of my favorite moments of this season

Bibi

to give you perspective on how insane Oikawa's serve was, the ball landed on Karasuno's court before Oikawa himself landed back down on his side 🔥 also, is there a possibility to get 4 ( being greedy here asking for 5 episodes 👀 ) episodes instead of 3 episodes next week? 🙏 It's gonna be difficult to not watch the rest of the season in one sitting imo 😂 I never thought I would ever be so hyped for a volleyball game!!!

Cayseron

2x20 mvp is daichi, when karasuno won the coin toss they had a choice to serve or receive. this is important because who serve first decides the starting position of teams depending on their tactics. when karasuno said they will receive first that was kind of declaration of challenge. it was basically daichi challenging oikawa and without really saying it out loud telling oikawa "yes, we gonna start by taking you down a notch and receive your serve first and foremost" and then daichi went and did exactly that. he opened the match by showing his team they can fight this.

emma

Omg I‘m so happy y‘all are actually acknowledging Iwaizumi. So few reactors do it and it‘s a bummer, because he‘s such an important player for Seijoh (and I love his character haha). Always nice to see the characters I like getting appreciated. 😊

Anonymous

LMFAO ange's loud "ganbare!" is so real.

Aizensalami

HYPEKYUU! Keep them coming !😊

Jen Li

On episode 18, when Tsukki came in and he spoke to Kageyama, he was relaying the message from Ukai about setting to Asahi. Only, Kageyama thought that the opposing team would be watching Asahi more now that Hinata is out so he set it to Ennoshita, who scored. I think Chikara deserves the back to back MVP. He was the one who thought about the play to counter Takeru's spike. Ukai mentioned how he thought of the play and executed it properly. Hinata may have scored crucial points but Ennoshita also saved crucial balls. When Hinata and Kageyama didn't sync up, Ennoshita reminded him not to flail and that a good jump starts with a good footing. When the Wakunan team's coach heard that, he realized they don't have the advantage just because the karasuno's captain is out. Also, when Kageyama said even if they're backed into a corner, they have the firepower to breakthrough, he was quoting Ennoshita in season 1.

Joie Dianzon

FYI. Daichi is the eldest son of the family and you can see that trait with the way he treats his team mates. 🥰 He’s always been my favorite Haikyuu captain, then Kuroo comes second.

Sharles Davis Kendy

This happens a lot in Haikyuu, but I love how, even though the show is ostensibly about Karasuno's playstyle doing incredibly well, it never looks down on the other teams' strategy. Date Tech chose to lose its third years and to use a poorly trained first year as a setter, knowing that it would hurt them this year, specifically so they could have a better team in the future. This is decidedly not what Karasuno did (keeping all three of their third years) and yet the show never frames either decision as the "wrong" one. They're just... Different choices.

Sharles Davis Kendy

So this is one of those "Blink and you miss it" details, but Oikawa was setting Iwaizumi differently. He was trying to dodge the block and was making sets that were harder to hit. Iwa basically goes up to him and says "Just set me normally and let me handle it" right before he just slams through Kogane's wide open arms.

Martina

I agree, but it was so funny that Carlie thought Daichi was going to die 😭

Martina

from not knowing any Japanese, to GANBARE, that's my duolingo king

Nguyen Anh Quan

Hope you guys will react to ep 24 next week because no way you can leave it hanging after ep 23.

Maxine

chikara deserves mvp for ep 18 - our future captain made and executed a new plan to help, and kept the team (esp both hinata and kageyama) composed! also, forget on speed-dial, the paramedics gotta be ON SET for these next episodes 😂

Cayseron

date tech didnt "choose" to lose its third years. third years chose their carriers over club (also their generation was known as duds and weaker among the walls of date) to say Date Tech made that choice as a team or school is wrong just like how its wrong to say karasuno decided to keep the first years. it is not school's decision it is the decision of the students if they want to focus on their carriers or not. only those who wants to pursue carrier in volleyball stays to play in spring tournament as third year (with obviously exceptions)

Cayseron

oikawa was setting farther from net to give iwaizumi more options which gives him higher odds of going pass the wall but it could also be seen as lack of trust. iwaizumi did not have harder time to do what he wanted but the set he got made it so that his first choice was not the best move. to explain myself > with set iwaizumi expected he has less options but said set maximize the power of spike he wanted to do. but that spike was not doing great against the wall so oikawa gave him set that allows him to spike the same way if he insists but also give him other options. Iwaizumi understands what oikawa was thinking but did not like it because essentially it meant iwaizumi's way is not good enough so he told him to set the way he wants to. "let me take this challenge" he did not complain that different set was harder to hit or wrong in any way, he just wanted to do it his way and asked oikawa to trust him go through with it. i am not really disagreeing with you, just stating that it is bit more nuanced than that and also "were harder to hit" is something kageyama does, not oikawa :)

pseudo93

I hope the next Haikyuu update is 4 eps because you're definitely not gonna want to stop before the season finale! Really love how you guys gave Iwaizumi the MVP for ep 19, that is one of my favorite moments, with his line giving me chills so I'm glad you guys appreciated it and acknowledged him. For ep 20, as multiple people said, Daichi also deciding to go for the serve despite winning the coin toss is a massive flex and boy did Daichi deliver! Really glad you guys enjoy Haikyuu so much but you guys are still not ready for what's to come, so strap in for Hypekyuu!!

Mu Lopes

Hope it's not too much to ask, but it's really optimal if you watch ep 24 right after 23.

Smash Bran'Discootch

So I know y'all aren't watching the OPs yet but a fun fact about THIS OP is that from this point forward, you see a bruise appear on Daichi's face. It's a small detail but I thought it was really neat for them to do.

Meg

It's finally here guys, it's THE MATCH!! hahaha love how hyped you guys are getting for this! Can't wait for the next episodes already!!

Lapisstories

Carlie is correct it is ep 18 when Chikara plans the game play and Ukai hears it and smile. I agree with the MVP and yes Iwa chan deserves it too.

miri

“Your resolve is weak, you little first year.” Is one of my absolute favorite quotes/moments in the show & immediately earned iwaizumi a spot in my top 3! (Tanaka, then Iwaizumi, then Oikawa) im so glad you guys are appreciating him! And I also agree with daichi as MVP for 2x20! I love how much carlie fights for him & his recognition during moments like this!

MADHOUSE

EP18 Love the scene where, in slow motion, Chikara connects the ball to Kageyama for an instant set-to-spike. Even though he wasn't content with his overall performance, he still played like a champ. EP19 Date Tech got a bit of a clumsy setter, but his attitude and potential make him a fantastic addition to their team. Aone giving Hinata the respect as rivals is always sick to see. EP20 The first set against Josai started off crazy! The way "Mad Dog" was animated was so sick. I'm sorry Carlie, but I can't help but chuckle at the fact that you thought Daichi will get Truck-kun'd. Although you luckily got baited by the "joke" spoilers this time, that would suck if you actually got spoiled on something important. It's gotta be hard dodging spoilers (real or fake) in the comment sections. Ange with the "GANBARE!!!" I was so caught off guard 😲😂 Love to see it! Carlie with the fight-or-flight pose anytime Ange yells is never not funny. Carlie may need to invest in some ANC headphones only for the Haikyu reactions. Ange is an untamable beast when the camera starts rolling. So far, we've got: "YEAH! YEAH! LEFTO THAT" 🤣 "COME ON", "NICE KILL", and of course the "GANBARE!" Please tell me you destroyed in the soccer match that night. After watching 3 Haikyu episodes straight in a row, I just imagine you psyched tf up before your game lol. I know it's soccer but "LEFTOOO!" is still a viable callout right? Question: have you two ended up recommending this show to anyone at this point? I have a few friends that are into basketball and boxing, and when I told them about this show, they got hooked straightaway.

Jeremy Ocasio

Carlie, I fell for this exact same gag when I watched the show tbh, for a quick minute right after the episode ended I just sat there with my jaw open thinking AB all the "RIP Daichi" comments I'd seen

Sharles Davis Kendy

The third years ARE a part of Date Tech. Their choice is also the team's choice since they ARE the team. And they clearly chose it not because of their careers, but because they thought it would make the team better.

Sharles Davis Kendy

Iwa does an incredibly weak spike that gets blocked by Aone on the first set. AND the show FLAT OUT TELLS YOU the set was harder to hit. It's the last sentence between the coaches' exchange. Oikawa 100% made the same mistake Kageyama is known for, despite being on a smaller scale. That was like, the whole point of that exchange.

Claire Park

can't wait for the season 3!!!

Cayseron

ok i see what you mean. "Date Tech" is name of the school though, so thats where the confusion lies. i guess it is noone to blame as haikyuu anime only states the school name as name of team. for example it is karasuno high school (or just karasuno high to be exact) and karasuno high school volleyball team. but anime only says "karasuno" and leaves it at that. so when you said it was Date Tech decision i thought you meant their school decided to cut the 3rd years off as they were duds in order to give new players a chance to prove themselves.

Cayseron

yes 99% correct. oikawa's set was harder to hit because iwa forced the same spike he was going for regardless of getting different set. oikawa was hoping iwa will try something else but iwa refused that is why it was harder to hit. from oikawa's point he did what he always does which is sets the ball the way that give his spikers best odds, reason iwa got blocked is cause he ignored that and went with his original idea. Kageyama's old style of setting is similar to "this is how and where i want you to hit the ball and you only have one choice", it is vague but there is a difference between kageyama's mistakes and oikawa's in that moment

astral_

s3 and s4 are waiting for you guys!!

WuXian Suibian

There is a short but good OVA that should be watched after the end of this season, you guys should check it out.

Sharles Davis Kendy

To be clear, the show NEVER so much as implies that this is Iwa's fault. Iwa walks up to Oikawa and tells him to just do things as he normally does. Then the coaches talk about it and mention that the set Iwa got was harder to hit. This whole idea that Iwa just refused to adjust to Oikawa's set isn't in the show. At all.

Denovis

Ange is going to lose his shit in the 3rd season :D

Clément Creton

We should call the paramedic for season 3 and season4 I will be already in hospital the tissu box I going to burn this time

Cayseron

yes and no to be fair. yes you are correct unlike many other things this was not spoonfed to viewers. but all the clues are there. and again yes i am agreeing with you, we dont have enough informations in terms of black and white written and said exposition. But we see iwa getting annoyed before he even jumped (he noticed different set before he jumped), he asked oikawa to do what they normally do, coaches pointed out how iwa didnt like the change and their line "it is harder to hit" refers to the way iwa spiking. but that is only what is being told. also there was no fingerpointing at all. neither iwa blamed oikawa for different set nor anyone made a statement that was iwa's fault either. firstly that set went through (wasnt blocked) so they essentially both did what they wanted (oikawa made a set that will maximize the odds of not getting blocked and iwa did manage to hit the ball and not get blocked). iwa was not even mad at oikawa for different set, he asked him to toss him normally and trust in him rather than tossing him the best possible set. that is the difference i am trying to shed light upon. that interaction is about iwa asking oikawa to trust in him against the odds of suboptimal set rather than toss the best set based on circumstances. "let me take this challenge". your first comment states oikawa was setting tosses that was harder to hit. that is not entirely true and what coaches explained is that iwa cant spike the way he normally does when ball is farther from net. i am trying to explain that this is not the case and oikawa is not making kageyama's mistake but rather doing what he always does which is setting the ball where its best and that it was iwa who said "no, i want to do this my way". i hope you understand what i am trying to explain, if you think it is just the case of "difference of opinion" i will accept it and leave it at that, but i think there is enough things said and unsaid even in the anime that proves oikawa was not pulling "kageyama"

the grafted

i was hoping they would see the cut but im too lazy to share links. thank you!

I'm on this with everyone else: You should watch ep 23 and 24 together. Either watch two episodes next week and two more the week after, or watch the last four episodes next week, but don't split 23 and 24 one week apart

Anonymous

Guys don’t forget to watch the OVA between season 2 and 3

Anonymous

Plus, At the end of the recap movie for this season (there are recap movies for season 1 2 & 3) there is a short scene that takes a place right after season 2, please react to it if possible. One of my fav scenes

souma shou

Just a suggestion guys, haikyuu openings are some of the best out there hence I would recommend reacting to each opening/ending after every season so that the hype is not lost. like if you react to all of them together the importance and depth of the the first few openings would be lost by then. Not to mention the openings get you hyped for future episodes especially matches in the 2nd and 3rd season

Bellaxo

As always, it’s such a pleasure to watch both of your reactions ❤️

Belinda

I'm like a proud mom every time people love haikyuu so much. Thank you for taking on this show...it's honestly just so full of positive vibes and love. Also, Takeda's Broetry? Unmatched 😂

Vhagar

Can't wait for the next episodes. Hope they are uploaded soon

AS

Do we have like an upload schedule or something? To know when we can expect the next episodes? Thank you
