Night Sterling

Shibuya gonna continue to get absolutely wrecked next episode 😂 Also we love Jogo in this house.

Guts

Amazing episode and reaction as always, also FYI season 2 of arcane is teased to come out November 2024!

Coils J

The craziest thing about shibuya arc is that the next arcs are just as great which is an insane feat in itself for a manga to keep up this level of writing. Have fun next episode!

Alhoss

After the show of power from Jogo u should know that even if Nanami Naobito and Maki were at full strength they would get clapped by Jogo

Aizensalami

To think that this is only 75% of Sukuna... I'm not sure if Panda and the others were frozen, I think they were just overwhelmed by his presence. Just like how the 2 girls were barely breathing when Sukuna woke up. MVP is Sukuna. 100%. Toji did well, but Sukuna was just on another level. They way he controls the scene is crazy. Even his scene with Jogo after he killed him was amazing.

DRACO

Sukuna MVP 100%

Mesha

Ange when the strongest mofo around tells you don’t move best believe you gonna freeze 😂

Anonymous

Nah, Panda and Kusakabe just stood still until Sukana said "now" and then got the hell out of there haha there wasn't any ability involved with that

Night Sterling

The moment Gojo got sealed Jogo could have killed every person in shibuya if he wanted to 😂

JadonTheEternal

There's some level of implication that Jogo imagined his conversation with Sukuna. a) the OST used is the same one that has been used in fake memories in the past, and b) it just doesn't seem like a Sukuna thing to do, he doesn't care about making people feel good, nor did Jogo really put up a fight where he deserves respect. So, that's a theory, I'm not sure I 100% subscribe to it, bit it's definitely plausible imo

Anonymous

Carlie was totally right, they didn't move at all because Sukuna said so. From what we've seen so far Sukuna always slashes his opponent, that's why Jogo was confused why he was able to use fire

Ludy

ya'lls commitment to the debate around MVP is my favvvvvv!!! what a stunning, amazing ep!

Valde

The absolute balls on Jogo to fight Sukuna with 15 fingers deserves an mvp 🗿

baja

doesnt make much sense. since sukuna praised him for the supreme art and decided to be fair and have a d*ck measuring contest. even with the girls, he gave was willing to grant them a wish until they decided to negotiate with him.

Danny C

Carlie calling Haruta a d*ck head before Ange did this episode should tell you how much she hates the guy

Danny C

So I don't know if this was fully explained properly in the anime, would have to go back and watch it, but Toji's wife (Megumi's mom) actually died, and Toji basically gave up on his kids (Megumi & his other daughter, Tsumiki). That's when he just decided to sell Megumi to the Zen'in clan, since Toji has mainly only ever cared about money and himself. Then after fighting Gojo, he remembered Megumi and his mom, saying "I thought I had abandoned that and decided to live for myself" which prompted him to tell Gojo the info about the sale. During the up close moment, he recognized his son and after hearing his last name being Fushiguro and not Zen'in, he realized Gojo kept his word and Megumi had a better life.

Danny C

The mom also asked Toji to take care of Megumi, which prompted Toji to end the seance autopilot command to "attack the strongest" by killing himself. Reading it was one thing, but seeing it animated was sad all over again

beannieswife

that convo that jogo and sukuna had at the end will always get me. knowing that curses are created from all the negative emotions of humans, jogo saying "we are the true humans" really hits different, and his tears after he got praised by sukuna, since he's the king of the curses, it seemed that jogo finally got validation for his existence, it's like when ppl try to find value / purpose in god since he's a superior being. imagine being formed by all the "worst" parts of someone and being aware of it, i don't know if i'm overthinking or being exaggerated lol but, i truly can't help but sympathize with jogo after that scene, i feel like theres so much more to dissect from jjks dialogue and world building. thanks for the reaction!

Nate Banker

Oh next episode gonna be great all right

Mango

Gojo telling Jogo you are weak but then Sukuna telling Jogo that you were strong. Two strongest two different opinions xd

Healthy Truth

I love the balance of perception carlie and ange share, what one person misses, the other brings to light. Personally like carlies deduction skills more as i come to the same theories/emotions. Ange is best for hype and most times his deduction skills are bang on ft a slice of humour. The best husband and wife reactors to this date imo 😍

Healthy Truth

In regards to MVP: I'd suggest making it half sukuna and half toji. They both bought out some wicked but righteous turn of events. For Toji, the sick combat is brutal and he noticed that was Megumi because if Toji were fighting himself; then Toji would counter exactly the same to win. Also Toji instinct and senses recognized his son from first holding him, also hearing the words of the woman that Toji truly loved. For Sukuna, I'd say pure domination, the smug and confidence of the man 😍 All his scenes are astonishing, with fear and admiration, like ange suggests; a perfect villain. Also the context he speaks to Jogo about becoming the strongest ect. That was legendary. One last opinion/theory is - if Toji and Sukuna backstory have parallels, except Sukuna didn't have a wife or son. Or Sukuna did have wife and son but killed them to reach his King of Curse status 🤣 theres my thoughts ange, thanks for asking mate. Appreciate your guys content and look foward to watching it all with you two too.

emma

Panda and Kusakabe were just frozen in fear because the King of Curses suddenly appeared next to them

KyTy

Objectively speaking Sukuna deserved the MVP more than Toji

Dune

I saw someone point out that gojo called jogo weak yet sukuna called him strong. Even then he didn't stand a chance against either one, we all just know he was strong Also it's more likely that that thing at the end was summoned by megumi. There's no other reason for the guy who just cut him down to be telling him to wake up. Maybe a possible new shikigami that gets summoned near death? I say toji is mvp. As soon as he got control he took himself out to not hurt his son I guess? The last caring act of his life.

Dramamean

When is Angelo gonna start uploading tabs for us non-talented guitar players? I wanna play along!

Izaya

Haruta survived because of his technique. You saw him dodge death or danger a few times while the tattoos on his face disappeared every time he did it. It isn't safe to assume the others are alive just cause Haruta survived. Since Haruta's technique is specifically for that kind of situation.

MADHOUSE

*Once again, sorry for another long comment. I swear I don't like writing essays for fun lol* When Sukuna suddenly appeared next to Panda and Kusakabe, they froze up due to fear. They think that if they move even a muscle in his presence, they'll die. Pretty sure the clap from Sukuna was just a signal from him giving everyone the "go-ahead" to run. It wasn't any specific ability. Man is having too much fun toying with "weak" sorcerers and curses. Just to clarify even further, remember that the sisters in last episode had to remind themselves to breathe because Sukuna's presence is just so intense. Man is literally a king, especially with the 15 or so fingers he now has. I'm anime-only btw, so I hope I didn't misinterpret that completely 😅 Glad you two enjoyed the animation. I've seen people say that they didn't like the artstyle of this episode though, which is a bummer because I thought it looked great. Different, yes. But bad? No. I feel people haven't seen many of the other shows where animators change the style of art and animation that looks way worse and uncanny (a very specific episode of TTGL comes to mind; if you know you know). Also, I took a glance at the staff who are working on S2, and they have a lot of different teams, each handling different episodes, which is why the fights all look different in animation style. I think Chainsaw Man had the same situation (could just be because of the different ED's). I do have one question: Did Toji know he was fighting his son the whole time or did he only realize that at the end of the fight. My take was that he knew the whole time and was testing his abilities. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure he could have killed Megumi in an instant. But then, Toji asks what his name is... did he just want to know if Megumi picked either Zenin or Fushiguro as his family name, or did he genuinely not know who he was? Was this ever clarified in the manga? As for MVP, I would give it to Toji IF the reason he was fighting Megumi was to see how strong he had gotten. He willingly killed himself, I assume, because either he didn't want to hurt his son any further or he was content seeing his son again and ready to pass on (or both). If that wasn't the reason that Toji was fighting, then I would give MVP to Jougo, which may seem like a surprise pick. Sukuna's fight scenes were sick, but if I had to award someone MVP, it'd be Jougo because despite knowing that he could end up dead by fighting Sukuna, he chose to do it anyway all for the sole-purpose of getting Sukuna on the curses' side.

Cayseron

toji was fighting megumi cause he was conditioned by the granny he killed episodes back to keep killing the sorcerers. he was indiscriminately chasing strongest enemies which is why he ignored them while dagon was alive and why he singled out megumi. there was no father-son reasoning behind choosing him next. he was unaware until very last moment

Cayseron

also argument could be made ones opinion is influenced by human arrogance while other opinion is formed purely pragmatically and objectively

MADHOUSE

Gotcha. In my brain, I was thinking Naobito was stronger than Megumi here, at least in Toji’s eyes. Thanks! Toji goated regardless

Cayseron

daddy fush-fush 100% goated indeed. and yeah anime keeps going out of the way to drop subtle hints that megumi is way stronger than even he thinks. remember how sukuna was confused megumi ran away from newborn special grade because sukuna believed megumi should be able to clap it easily, and how only sorcerer sukuna is interested in is really megumi, not even yuji or gojo. and now again with toji going for him indicating he is stronger than nanami and naobito and maki. our little fushiguro is lowkey op without realizing it :D

Cayseron

V stands for valuable not strongest though. so if toji's emotional moment is more valuable than sukuna's show of strength then toji is mvp, no?

KyTy

Ok, but if we exclude personal preference, no matter how you look at it Sukuna did more in that episode than Toji and if we talk about emotional moments he did have one with Jogo at the end (kinda, lol).

Carlie & Ange

Yeah to us it looked like Toji only realised it was his son when Megumi started fighting back. It may have triggered something

The Great Santini

I keep seeing peaple online saying that others are "disappointed" with the animation during the recent fights but, as someone who's been watching anime since DBZ first aired in america, I couldn't disagree more. The fight animation we've been getting in this season is top-tier anime animation. I'm saying this as someone who was disappointed in the art-style change when the season first started. I still prefer season 1's art STYLE but the fight animation of season 2 is just insane. So for me it's like: slow moments -> s1 looked better. Fights -> s2 looks better.

souma shou

sukuna is him

souma shou

sukuna mvp 100%

Ghoullie

I love kusakabe. hes so real for wanting to leave -- smartest man in the show tbh T A T also if panda being in danger is a concern, then yeah better not go towards the danger...

montanapoint0

jogo mvp for sure. even a back handed admiration from sukuna is an insane compliment. to get a true acknowledgment of your strength... he earned his mvp even tho he lost the big game XD
