You may have missed an important dialogue while they were getting the IBN-5000 from the shrine. Ruka's dad said that "someone left a message 10 years ago that a young man would come and ask for it".

I think you missed a very important part when Ruka's dad at the shrine told Okarin and CHURISTINA: "someone gave me this computer 10 years ago and told me to take good care of it because one day someone will come and get it" - something along those lines, it's not a direct quote

As someone who has seen both the sub and dub, while the sub is done very well, the Dub I think is excellent, the english cast really did the characters justice.

Lmao Ange, as a person who is following the show with you. Yeah that particular prediction right at the beginning, sealed it. I am not confused any more. This show is built for wacky theories to be embraced. So, I would say go for it and have fun with it until it all clicks. All of us will be looking forward to it :).
