personally, I got everything I wanted out of this special! I agree, it was definitely animated way better than the rest of season 4. I'm glad they brought back such a great song from season 1 as well, very fitting for Hange's last scene. great video, enjoyed hearing your perspective!

The two people that were in the prison are actually Erens grandparents. It’s sad knowing they have no idea that their grandson is leading this attack.

Im almost certain that the song that was playing when Hange was fighting in season one during the female titan episodes, specifically in the episode 'Bite' when you see the back story of Eren training with Levi squad and it showing the squad biting their owns hands to apologise to Eren. I agree as well that none of the relationships are handled well in this show. The only one I would get around would be Falco and Gabbi. (Sasha and Nico aswell but that has like zero screen time). So... I haven't read the manga, and I gotta say that I thought this special was phenomenal, and well worth the wait. I'm left with a couple of questions to figure out and theorise over. The first was Falco mentioning how he had the beast titan spinal fluid and has some characteristics of the beast titan now. I don't know what implications this has as well as them saying that the female titan can mimic some of the other titan powers? Maybe they're thinking that they can use the female titan with Falco to some how control the rumbling? I dunno, I've got some time to think about it. The other thing on that, is with Falco having that dream sequence at the start of season 4, this would be long before he has a titan power. As far as I can see, the only time in the entire show we've seen someone have a dream/titan sequence prior to becoming a shifter is in the opening scene of the entire show with Erens dream sequence before he is a titan. Because the Attack titan can somewhat manipulate time and be linked to past and future dreams, it makes me think that maybe... Falco will take the Attack Titan? Would love to hear your thoughts. It is in my head canon that Ange is actually hiding the truth. He wants us to believe that he doesn't like the Armin/Annie ship because secretly, he wants Annie for himself.

What i think: By Eren doing what he does all of humanity see their flaws and see what they did, next to that they now work together for 1 enemy, meaning the are not fighting each other anymore but fighting Eren. Erens plan is working, he is hoping the oposite side will stop him from finishing the rumbling but Eren will keep going to stay a threat, to force the rest of humanity to work together and see that both sides are not that bad.

The mimic power they are talking about is just how Eren and Annie can use Reiners armor power. So since Falco was injected with Zeke spinal fluid, he can mimic an aspect of the beast titan power like a maybe "flying beast/bird". That would correlate well with the vision he had. That is my take anyways,

He plays the devil for humanity sake, not saying he is doing something humane, and what he does is "good", but what he does is working in some sick way. He knows the future and saw this as the only way for the circle of vengeance to end by being the evil for all of humanity.

That's basically what Sasuke was trying to do at the end of Naruto Shippuden, become the greater evil so everybody works together to go up against him. It might work for some time, but it's bound to fail on the long run, especifically when Eren dies.

That was a sick cover Ange! Love watching Carlie tap into those emotions for how heart breaking some scenes are. You're correct on that song being played during Hange's sacrifice, it is played in S1 when Eren and squad Levi are on horseback with Annie chasing them. The old couple that remains in jail are grisha's parents. Most likely left behind because of their relation to Zeke and Grisha being traitors and of course Eren bringing the rumbling.
