I'm assuming that you guys don't watch the intros and Ange only looks up the music for them for the guitar intros, so I'm really hoping that once the show is complete we get a video of you both reacting to the intros of the series :)

reiner's back story is so sad, my boy just wanted to be heroic and give his mother a better life all while being brainwashed to commit such heinous acts of violence, to the point where once he's mature to realize the gravity of his actions, it mentally breaks him. also idk if you caught the reiner eren parallel of both of them being weak in combat, both of their strengths being their drive and passion to a cause. also a subtle detail is falco also being the weak one like them wanting to fight to save gabi, eren notices this and asks if the person he's trying to save is a girl, bc eren also wanted to get stronger to protect mikasa who's a naturally strong gifted soldier just like gabi. it's the little details that i love, but yes im glad you guys are becoming a lot more empathetic towards the warriors

Reiner is one of the best characters ever, you guys will grow to love him more and more I bet. And that Hobo guy and the end spitting facts about how gruesome war is and how most people are force into that hell. "But people who push their own backs see a different kind of hell" That really hit hard, especially with Erens conviction.

Here's what I found knowing a little bit of Japanese myself, and doing some digging online. I do not think Pieck's named is pronounced as "pick", I think it's "peek" or "peak". The katakana (Japanese lettering used for words/names that are foreign) reads as Piiku in the English alphabet. In the Japanese language, the "i" sound more closely resembles "ee", so the name would sound closer to "peek". Additionally, Pieck's name is actually of German origins, where they also pronounce it as "peek". Just thought i'd add this if anyone is curious!

To add to that, many of the names in the show are of German origins. Much of the architecture (at least in Paradis) is German too. On top of that most song lyrics are in German.

i disagree with this lmfao the dub takes the emotion away from rather lousy voice acting. Also AOT dub is infamous in anime for mistranslating and entirely changing sequences of words. So...i honestly doubt it. It aint no fmab which actually does good, its considered a reallly bad dub universally lol

I don't know how DUB got it more accurate? The translation in sub is the closest to the one in manga. And Yuki Kaji is something you just can't change. There are many shows good in DUB but Attack on titan is not even remotely close to it. I mean seriously, do we need to address the issue where Titans sounds like broken Hyenas in dub?

This comment is pretty backwards. This sub translation is completely accurate, but the dub mistranslates this line and most other lines. Not to mention the unnatural voice acting

yep, they send kids because they are easy to brainwash. Child soldiers in our world are recruited for this same reason

He was talking about people that "push their own backs" which I assumes means people who aren't forced to do something for any reason but their own.
