I promised a glance behind the velvet curtain at Monster Girl Mayhem's thumbnails. That starts...now!

Generally I use properly licensed stock images from all over the place for my thumbnails. As you can imagine, it's pretty tough to find ready-made monster girls on stock sites. Looking for a cute lamia? An orc girl? Pfft. Forget it. They're basically nonexistent!

You've got to learn to improvise if you don't have the artistic skill, time or energy to draw your own harem of appealing beasties. (Alas, I was blessed with artistic talent but not much time and energy to use it!) With as much monster girl content as I make, I've become a master at seeing the potential for supernatural characters lurking in stock images!

So here's a peek at some of the stock pieces that eventually became thumbnails last month! You'll see a few required a more extensive overhaul than others.

If your favorite thumbnail from the event is missing, there's a good reason: I've skipped over the stock images that didn't require any editing at all, or those that required only minimal changes (background removal, etc.) I definitely got lucky on a few and it decreased my workload a bit!

Tools of the Trade, for those wondering:

Some of those transformations were pretty nutty! I remember that you explained your process to me in the past, but I didn't fully grasp what it all entailed. The thumbnails have always been one of my favorite parts, so this makes me appreciate the effort you put into them even more!
