the new shop page has the latest version.of the Apollo and related upgrades

https://www.patreon.com/squirrelf3d/shop

I will also be offering the Apollo on my new  printables club as an alternative to Patreon, but will take a bit longer to setup. So nothing is on there yet - https://www.printables.com/@squirrelf3d

so lots of reorganization ongoing.

As part of the reorganization the very latest model will be found here (main body got a very minor  change), content will be updated frequently, adding renders and other info:
theses files only have backplate and mainbody:
https://www.patreon.com/squirrelf3d/shop/apollolander-reorganized-78313

The rest (Core file, with ducts probe mount etc,  and STEP) will currently be in one big zip found here, including the "previous" version of the main body
(I didn't realize that after a single purchase I wouldn't be able to remove older zip, so it's a bit messy, just make sure to get the most recent dated zip)

========= Printer Mods ==========

PRINTER_MODS_2023_08_28 - these are targeted for the Ender3v2, should be compatible with ender3pro, but not everything is compatible with ender3. most should have STEP files included, if not don't hesitate to request them.

These may be outdated, latest printer mods are now part of the ApolloLander Zips: here

Not everything is listed here, just major ones.

  • Dual linear rail on Y (updated aug 28 2023)
  • Y motor upgrade (up to Nema17 4248, so 48mm long motors)
  • Y axis tensioner (for additional Y movement)
  • X axis tensioner (for additional X movement)

sorry it took so long, I added a step file called "v6_orbiter_2_rails.step" in the list of file of this post, at the bottom of the page. I will later remove it and include it in the STEP zip. And I'll later make a better STEP file with more stuff in it.

Hello, the Apollo looks great. I'm going for a Mosquito Hotend with an Orbiter V2. 2 x 5015 fans. 1 x 4020 fan This mounted on a Ender 3 pro with Z-Linear Rail (top mounted). I have the Liniear conversion kit from Unitak. https://www.amazon.com.be/-/nl/UniTak3D-upgrade-gespreksondersteuning-lineaire-inbegrepen/dp/B09M73XRBH/ref=asc_df_B09M73XRBH/?tag=begogshpadd0d-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=632995438762&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3833388258969204618&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1001208&hvtargid=pla-1629423313154&gclid=CjwKCAjwloynBhBbEiwAGY25dAhhDzBW1XeuXSN4w37gNfqoKPpM2w11BvVgmBPzzO5PGBfBLAt00xoCGu8QAvD_BwE&th=1

2024-01-27 18:11:59 My goal is not speed (nice to have) but to print very fine detail (HO Trains figures) with a 0.2 nozzle. I almost found every part but for the Mosquito no 4020 fan. Is this coming soon? Its also not clear where to place the BLtouch.

The Apollo has a 4020 front fan (and of course a 4010 would fit as well), if that's what you meant. The 5015 (apollo) and 4010 (apollo mini) refer to the side fans (part cooling) Bltouch mounts on the left side with a couple screws (one short one going into the main body directly, part that holes the fans), and second screw is shared with the left side fan screw, which then also goes into the main body

Apollo on Ender 3 pro / Linear Rails / Mosquito (normal) / BLTouch / Orbiter V2. Some remarks: The fan ducts (i tryed all the types) => +- 2mm too low. I adjusted this by adjusting the mosquito mounting plate by 2mm thickness. BLTouch: only left position. On this position the BLTouch bounces on the left of the printer. Adjusted this by mirror the BLtouch holder and copy the whole to the other side of the main base. Alternative: use the front mount. Hope this help for some improvements of the Apollo prototype.
