Codename "SPEEDSTER"

STL + STEP in the zip

By request, this is built around the Klemco v6 groove mount (get it on amazon)

Ducts are repurposed Apollo ducts, chopped down.
It's rudimentary, just a quick built, no cable management, besides a 2mm rod option as a cable strain.

Should work with V6 type hotend (revo 6, dragon, dragonfly BMO with their groove mount)

Front fan can be either 4010 or 4020

Right fan is inverted compared to the Apollo, so I don't know how good/bad this will be. Not an uncommon setup, just not one I have done thus far.

Uses heat inserts (M3 x 4mm Length x 5mm OD, possibly 4.6 OD but unsure ), you'll have to figure out screw length, but it's the usual suspects, likely M3x6, M3x8, M3x20

Bltouch may or may not work

No print support needed

bltouch offset
x = -53.76
y = -5.95

rev 2:

  • front fan part fixed
  • added a model with adxl345 mount (generic model)

rev3

  • Added a small hole for a 2mm rod ( https://amzn.to/3Wd4Xq1 ) to use as a strain relief
  • strengthened the CRtouch part

rev 4

  • Ender 5 support
  • Sherpa mini support

rev 4.5 - could possibly not work

  • linked ducts, will need a new sherpa/orbiter mount piece reprinted as well
  • this requires some bending of pieces and possibly puzzle as to how to put it together, but if it works would be great.

Rev 5 - Jan6

Everything got readjusted - still lots of room for improvements that will come over time. STEP file included so you can play with it.

Ducts are linked in the back so breakdown from below is a bit different

Rev 5.1 - Jan14
an old stl was still present ( for the orbiter 2 mount), when it should have be removed, bringing confusion. now removed.

This mount has been bulletproof for me for over a year now. Not a single issue with any of the components after many hundreds of hours of printing. Still rocking it!

That's so amazing to hear! I'm slowly working on a 100% printed model to be mounted on linear rail, and use top mounted hotend like Dragon/Rapido style hotend so that I can try it myself someday. edit: just realized you're @indplstim !!

This is exactly what I need (or at least want), always loved my Klemco mount but actually ditched it to go with the Apollo. This is best of both worlds for me. Thanks!
