I’m excited for Nerdy Nightly to see the finale episode. I think it’s a banger! And does a good job of establishing an ending while letting the viewer know there is more story to tell. I’m still holding out hope we see the final 3 books adapted as a series.

I think the Laconia stuff at the start of the episodes was put there because they're hoping to get renewed. Based on the books there would be a 70 year gap between the end of series 6 and the start of a *touch wood* series 7 but they will want to retcon that to something more manageable so they can continue using the same actors, so to enable this they're sneaking in a bit of exposition about Laconia early.

The thing is even if they adapted more the actors and what made this show so insanely good wouldn't be the same imo. It's sad but the show was still one of the best shows in the past 2 decades imo just as it is
