Haven't read the books, and while the first couple episodes made me interested, the rest of the show has cemented my opinion that the books aren't for me, or at least they were if you two weren't sitting here each week going "why did they cut so much of the how and why" because I am finding this so fucking boring. The constant "and then this happened. And then this happened. And then this happened," of the current storytelling is just so off-putting, and if I wasn't enjoying yalls commentary, I wouldn't be watching this show at all.

I tried so hard to like this show. I have read through the series like probably 6 times at minimum. As a show it’s just choppy, like the cuts and editing just seems off putting. I like the casting and the visuals and have actually liked most of the changes but they’re just at the next place! All the time, like oh we know this and omg Percy has so many dreams about the hole and there’s no context and then Percy just magically puts it all together. I mean I understand sally told him so many stories and they talked about Kronos with ares but Percy probably would not have put it together that quick but hey adhd here and can say sometimes random things so just click
