In a way, it sucks so much how many One Piece Fans seem to think "Nakama" just means friends or crew. Nakama is one of those japanese words that can be used to mean something in different context. Since you mentioned you were going to keep watching after the video ended, I'm guessing you know by now Bellemere is Nami's adoptive mother, and their story is a beautiful found family story, that ends in horrific tragedy. "Nakama" can also mean found family, something that brings Nami a lot of pain, to have found one In Luffy and the crew brings Nami pain because; A.) she fears to have found one again but doesn't want to loose them. It's only logical that Arlong who took one away already, could take another. B.) She has found one and feels pain because she thinks she can't keep it this time. Anyway sorry for long ramble, just have always irked me that many fans think its another one of those friendship gives the characters power ups or whatever, Oda choose specifically nakama because you will learn that the Straw Hat Crew is a family that has found each other.
