The East Blue islands are really well written, and I feel like a lot of fans like them but overlook how much these islands define Luffy for you going forward just by having him be compared to all the different types of captains.

also with the studio Wit remake called "The One Piece" starting to be made, a lot of people think that a 24 or 25 episode season would cover all of the East Blue saga with updated choreography and drawings for the fight scenes similar to what they did for the "Episode of East Blue" special that did an HD redrawing of the MiHawk v Zoro fight
