The director for S1 E5 and 6 is a Black woman. Season 2 didn't have any Black directors. Season 3 has one. I tried to look up writers and I could be wrong but I think they didn't have any Black writers for the first two seasons. There are at least 2 Black writers on season 3. Having watched season 2, it's not really better on the colorism front, but it's also not... offensively worse? It just continues to be meh. Season 2 was already in production when season 1 came out and people started pointing out the colorism, so I think it's a good sign that they have increased the number of Black writers and directors for season 3. Hopefully it'll make a difference.
