Fred did not "take Mao's scientists and couldn't get anything from him." He got a technician in Cortazar because Miller put a hole in the head of the ONLY person on Thoth Station that could have identified Mao.

Fred's Chief of Staff is Camina Drummer, played by the wonderful Cara Gee.

I always laugh when reactors automatically think Drummer is a spy for Dawes. He obviously didn't get Fred's secret from Naomi, Drummer, or Holden, if he had, then why did he end up with the lowly Diogo, who easily gave it up. Claroos and Nerdy will remember Camina Drummer after the next episode. But, I'm totally on board with Claroos's assessment of Dawes.

By far the best post-show discussion! We all see the story differently and that makes it such a great experience! Glad I found you two!

Really great discussion at the end, particularly your guys' difference of opinion on Dawes. Sometimes reactors (and people in general upon first viewing) get a little too fixated on their own views and become dismissive of characters they don't agree with. The fact that you guys felt differently about Dawes here really shined a light on why that is a mistake, and hopefully you guys continue doing what you're doing. I think watching the show with at least one other person is great for exactly this reason. The show really works hard at giving each character (and I truly mean *each* character) reasons for doing what they do. I feel like Dawes is speaking to the audience when he says not to focus on "Good or Bad" because it'll just confuse you. I think the most rewarding and richest experience you could have watching this show, is by opening yourself up to each point of view, even if you disagree with them. And its great to see that you guys definitely seem willing to do that! Not every reactor does. I will just say with Dawes, remember that he did abandon Julie Mao and left her to die. He then tried to cover up his involvement by bribing Miller and when that didn't work, he ordered Miller's execution in the air-lock. Not to mention that he bribes pretty much everyone, including the police force. But on the other hands yeah, he does seemingly do a lot of good for Belters and puts a lot of that money back into the Belter community. He's also clearly very intelligent as shown by the way he navigated the Belter faction meeting. But he's also a bit of a bullshit artist, considering the way he seems to try and manipulate people, like with Diogo in this episode. I think whichever traits you give more weight to when judging his ethics, is simply a matter of perspective.

This is a spoiler, thay have not revealed who the person helping them in Fred's crew is, if there is a traitor in his crew.

I totally agree. Sometimes I wonder if it's Jared's brilliant acting, the script or maybe just the gray areas many/if not all characters in the show share.

I’ve got to admit, I’m giddy with excitement to see their reaction to the upcoming episodes. So unpredictable the upcoming journey.

Can't wait for the next episode. It starts to really get into the meat of book 2!

I think Nerdy's read on Dawes here is pretty wrong. Dawes is interested in power more than he's interested in benefiting all Belters. He walks into that meeting, sows discord in order to divide the factions and alienate Fred Johnson and Holden. He's manipulative and self-interested. Yes, he's fun to watch, but don't mistake him for a humanitarian. He's a politician as much as Errinwright is. And Clarus is quite right that it is not the policy of Earth's government to be using the protomolecule against the Belt or against Mars, at this point. It is isolated individuals, just as Dawes says about good and evil in a moment of pure projection: bad men will do things thinking they are working to help humanity. As for what's actually going on with the protomolecule, i suggest you watch and wait; you have been leaping to inaccurate conclusions.

Dawes is a great character, the actor who plays him is just phenomenal in any role. But Drummer?! Cries in Drummer sadness 😂. She’s easily one of my favorites (too many good people to pick just one). I’m glad y’all are enjoying it as much as we are watching again. Another great reaction!

I fully expect Nerdy to have an OPA tattoo next episode, Question is will Clarus allow him back to team 🌎………🤔 NOT!!!!!!!

Are they still traveling ? I haven’t seen any other posts on attack on Titan , it’s been 10 days

From Dawes' perspective, the Inners - Earth and Mars - both already have the protomolecule, and they will happily use it again. They already use the Belters as slaves - remember what happened at Anderson Station? You can't live your life with a gun to your head, trusting in the mercy of those holding the trigger, especially when the Inners have shown time and time again that they have no mercy.
