Hyped AF for next season! 2-3 are the strongest seasons in my opinion even though I like book 4-5 best.

I guess I hadn't realized you guys were based in Toronto. That's really interesting. I'm curious if you guys end up recognizing/ knowing any other actors (or even extras) as the show goes on. The Expanse seems to have been one of Canada's biggest television productions, and a lot of its supporting cast is apparently built from the Canadian theater scenes.

Loving your reactions. As others have said, it just keeps getting better and better. A lot of folks think S3 is the best. Things slow down a bit in S4, but pick back up in S5 & S6. To help you understand the layout of the show (without any spoilers); S1, S4, &S5 have 10 episodes each; S2 & S3 have 12 episodes each; S6 only has 6 episodes. Additionally, * Book 1 = S1.E1 thru S2.E5; * Book 2 = S2.E6 thru S3.E6; * Book 3 = S3.E7 thru S3.E13; * Books 4, 5, and 6 pretty much align with the respective seasons. Others have commented on preferring books vs. the series. Personally I think it’s apples/.oranges - they’re both great. The adaptation to the visual medium is one of the best I have seen. While there are changes (some arcs removed, some added, characters shifted around, etc., etc.,…), they all make for a great show. I think one of the reasons for that is the book authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Frank (who co-wrote as “James S.A. Corey”) here among the producers of the show and sat in the writers room. They even wrote some of the episodes themselves, some in conjunction with show runner Noren Shankar. Also, keep an eye out for episodes directed by Breck Eisner. While all the directors did a great job, his are among the best. Enjoy the show...and strap n for an exciting ride.

Medications provide palliative care until Holden/Miller can get to the Roci which has military-grade autodocs and medical treatment. And it is worth mentioning that Holden is showing fewer "symptoms" than Miller because of the robust nature of his Earther physique when measured against that of a Belter.

Sorento-Gillis is not "the King of Earth." His title is Secretary-General of the UN, and throughout the books both Errinwright and Avarsarela refer to him as "the bobblehead."

And one of the beautiful, though subtle, bits is that when Naomi and the crew get to the ladder, they climb down, because in Eros (as in Ceres) down is the direction of the docks, and the asteroid's surface.

"He's still spittin' up blood. He's fine."

I do love the way that Alex decided to deal with the clamps in the docks.

Oh, you will find out a whole lot more about the protomolecule next season, which will answer a lot of your questions, though it will also generate a whole lot more questions.

Bryce Carlson

I love your theorizing regarding the protomolecule and think that you are going to be even more blown away as more is revealed about it. Saying anything more (as much as I want to) would be spoilery.

So this episode won a Hugo award. It is an amazing episode and so much happens. It is not my favorite episode of the season (that is E8) but it was wonderful for the show to at least get recognized for the high quality it was at the time even though they were just getting started! I loved that Nerdy didn't recognize Filat Kothari but Nightly did! I kept wondering when it would sink in because it is a fantastic throw back to what was happening on Ceres with all the crime factions disappearing, allowing "street rats" like Diogo to start in on their territory. The writers are intentional at all times so it is worth paying attention to every word of dialogue. Nothing is thrown away here. Can't wait for S2!!
