What uuuuuuup everyone. You won't believe what I did.. actually scratch that. This is an extremely predictable move from me. I picked up another PlayStation 3, except this time it's a debugging station! So at least I can do extra cool things with this, like play PS2 games region free, or play pre-release builds of PS3 games.

Anyway, this will be featured in a proper video sometime later. But for now, here's a little bonus look at me taking this thing out of the box and providing some lore. See you all in the next one!

PS3 Test Model Unboxing [PATREON EXCLUSIVE]

I have an addiction.

That was a cute little model I haven't seen before. As you say, it's clearly a model used for QA of games, not a DevKit. You can't use it to create games, but should be able to run signed software for the QA stages. I'm curious to see if still has a QA firmware or has been reverted to a public firmware. The ones I have used are normal retail units unless they have the correct firmware installed. So don't try to update the firmware or connect it to internet.

You continue to amaze me with your knowledge of all things Playstation. I can't remember if you have recorded a panorama of your console collection or not ... may be an idea when you move into your next digs. I have such a backlog of PS3 games that were never upgraded to PS4 or beyond, I am still playing some of them on my God of War special edition PS3 - in red no less!
