My Backlog Will Consume Me Before PS5 (Patreon)

  Hey everyone!

  Just throwing out another update to keep you all informed on what's going on. I want to say thanks to all the new and existing Patrons. I really appreciate the continued support despite the slow updates here. But thankfully I have a spicy new Patreon exclusive coming that will KNOCK. YOUR. SOCKS. OFF.

  Not really, but it is an exclusive unreleased/unfinished video that I have deemed cancelled. I had a really (and I mean REALLY) dumb idea for a video last year and basically I haven't been able to finish it since. So coming up soon I will upload the parts that are finished, along with a post-mortem discussion. It's not very long but trust me, many of you will get a kick out of it. Will probably have that up in a week or so.

  Anyways, what have you all been playing? I'm trying to set a goal for myself: Which is to actually catch up on some of these PS4 games before PS5 arrives. I'm still behind on a lot, and that's not even including a good amount of Switch games that I'm also wanting to play. It's creating this oddly exciting anxiety where, I'm excited for next-gen, but I want to comfortably jump in knowing I don't have 10+ games on the back-burner.

  So here's what's coming up on the channel: As we discussed in the April post, documentaries had to be stalled due to the poor YouTube ad rates. But thankfully those have been slowly recovering so I've been preparing two separate topics! One will be a graphics evolution discussion, that branches from PS1-PS5. This video won't be ready for awhile since it's subject to PS5 gameplay, which we're still waiting on for some good footage there. But otherwise it's coming along nicely. The other, is about good ol' Mark Cerny! Recently he's been an icon for PlayStation but his nearly 40 year career in games is incredible. And one totally worth looking into.

  For unboxing's, I have a lot I purchased that was 40 random games. That will be uploaded whenever there's a good slot for it. It might be held onto just incase I have nothing else ready for a Tuesday upload. I also recently picked up a new Japanese Vita with some games that I'll unbox on camera. I always love giving the Vita some attention, and that might go up in a month or so when everything comes in. Also! Whenever I get my Limited Run mega bundle of Jak X (which will ship Q3) I'll do a full tour of all the Jak games from Limited Run with all the collection goodies and that beautiful mock Jak 4 case. 

  Finally, as most of you noticed -- PS5 topics left and right. It's odd really, next-gen is fun and exciting. But it sucks seeing any topic that's not PS5 perform much worse on the channel. It's understandable for obvious reasons, but I still like covering all aspects of PlayStation. But for future growth, the PS5 focus will surely take priority.

  That's all for now! Hope everyone is staying safe and returning to work somewhat normally. To be frank, it's a total shit show where I live. A lot of businesses treating employees poorly, and locals just flocking to everything with no regard for distancing. Thankfully we have video games.
