Tiger Spaceship Thing (Patreon)

Working on a ship for Unannounced Tabletop Game project that I'm illustrating/doing a bit of writing for with the Data Sparrow people. 

Attempting to make a big pointy, menacing ship for a game faction. One of the aesthetic/story touchstones for them is India, Hindu nationalism, militarism and similar schtick. 

I traced a few images: tigers and an Indian soldier with a machinegun from a couple of stamps and a bit from an illustration from the story of Arjuna. 

The sword project from the other night has crept in, partially accidentally when I deleted the wrong bit, but has a look I'm starting to really like. There's a pleasure in seeing the same visual idea rippling through different genres and projects. 

I'm enjoying writing a little bit/explaining the why behind some of the models I post on twitter. Maybe it's just a sneaky method of self-congratulation, but I'm enjoying sharing the choice of image and the visual inspirations as they get blendered around.
