Well, it was a reaction so good it deserved to be seen twice!

SEASON 3, LETS FUCKING GO

Rufus May

Quicktime is a good episode but my favourite is probably Media Player Classic or the underrated VLC.

I think Shadow Weaver is just massively petty and vindictive, the only reason she joined The Horde in the first place was because she was banished from Mystacor. And now she's been banished from The Horde she goes and joins their enemies. Her whole motivations just seem to be jealousy and vengeance.

The original "SheRa" show had Adora kidnapped from Eternia (He-Man's planet) by Hordak. This show modified the idea, with "The First Ones" basically being their version of "Eternians." "Somebody lie to me." Okay...they discover the Crimson Waste is actually filled with flowers and puppies and candy. Adora and Catra make up and Hordak comes down with Covid and dies, destroying the Horde. There, that's some quality lying, that is.

Vilmu

Very excited for the next two episodes!

You haven't been emotionally ready for what's coming

With how heavy these episodes are on Adora, I personaly cannot wait to get to some of the more lighthearted slice of life/ filler episodes. Personal favorit is when Adora has to take a break from the whole war thing, and just has an entire episode of relaxing, learning non-combat skills like backing pie, and just a lot more chill, to counteract some of the more heavy and gut wrenching stuff.

Adora: *can read First Ones writing, and use a sword that's the height of First Ones tech to become a legacy heroine invented by the First Ones* Light Hope: Yer a First One, Adora! Adora & Mosco together: WAIT, WHAT?!?!?!

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I love how round Glimmer and Bow get after sampling all of Adora's practice pies. No wonder they titled that episode "Once Upon a Time in the Waist"!

Luke Teasdale

Ooo I cannot wait for Mosco to see the rest of this season, every single episode is fire and The next one is one of my favourites

Omegastar

Oh look, its the arrival of the main plot :) To be fair they've been building it up for a while now, but the pace really accelerates in this episode. I love the theorycrafting you are doing, it really shows how into the show you are. I can't wait for the next reactions!

Can we talk about how Bow is planning on showing an ethereal queen and a literal magical sorcerer a deck of cards and presenting it as a "magic trick"? Hilarious.

Tabatha Cat

Ohhhhhhhhh, I've been looking forward to this one.

Omegastar

Or we can talk about the fact that it actually worked! He bought Adora and Glimmer at least a couple of minutes time.

Paul Steele

Get ponded and keeps going. I choked on my tea when I heard that thanks for that

That "We're gonna win in the end!" in the intro feels gratuitous and unnecessary at the beginning of the show, but the creators really did know what they were doing, putting that in there. There are times when it gets really hard to believe, and you need that reassurance.

Ryan Porter

Oh no, Catra's gonna die. Again. Good thing cats have nine lives! ---- "Don't I get a say in what happens to me? Don't I get a choice!?" "No. This is your destiny. You do not choose; you are chosen." And Adora begins to learn the truth that Buffy and all the other "chosen ones" have learned the hard way: It sucks. ---- "It is happening again..." All this has happened before, and will happen again... ---- "Somebody lie to me..." "Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after."

Tabatha Cat

In the episode “Light Spinner,” Master Norwin tells us, “The spell of obtainment leeches power turning the caster into a magical parasite, if it does not kill the caster outright.” I wonder if Shadow Weaver had to draw power from the Black Garnet to survive the power being leeched from her due to casting that spell. That would explain how in earlier episodes she would sometimes fall sick, and have to return to the garnet to recover. And after losing her connection to the garnet, she could no longer do so, and became deathly ill as a result. If that is the case, then Adora sealed that corrupt connection to evil that came from the spell of obtainment so many years ago. That is no ordinary healing, which is why Shadow Weaver said, "Do you think just anyone could bring a dying woman back to life?"

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I don't know, Shadow Weaver's motivation throughout the series seems to be to be an obsession with power, and obtaining as much of it as she possibly can. She was trying to increase her power with dark magic at Mystacor, and they threw her out for it; she joined the Horde because she could use the Black Garnet; while there she got ahold of a First Ones baby and realized the child's potential, so she offered to raise it and use all the emotional manipulation possible to make the child loyal to her; when that went horribly south, she fled to Bright Moon for safety, and another chance at manipulating Adora into doing what SW wants. The rest of the progression here is beyond what Mosco's seen yet, so I'll stop there, but it continues the same pattern.

FilmCritMaybe

You've likely been told this already but 2 and 3 were originally just one block of a season until Netflix bizarrely decided to divide it so I treat it all as one season personally. You'll uhhhh see why once you get to the end of the season

Verdigree

Look at Hordak's little pout

Jaakko Nurro

They probably had never seen card tricks, it's all new and fascinating to them.

Porpoise Power

1. You looked away at the end of the intro (the bit that changes each season!) 2. What the hell is "Superdry", besides Ben Shapiro's wife.. 3. That dragon pig on Mosco's mug is adorable

Porpoise Power

Hypothetically Adora should have a cousin who's still alive.

Christopher Bouzas

They weren’t in the dimension of despondos before Mara went “crazy” Mara opened up the portal that brought them into the dimension of despondos but due to the damage she caused the planets portal capabilities were too damaged to bring it back and trying to open one now would cause devastating effects

Jenny D

I can’t remember, which life is Catra on now? I might have to go look for Stevenson’s list on Twitter.

Jenny D

Technically, I think Adora can only read First Ones writing because the sword downloaded that information into her brain when they made their connection. As for who created She-ra, idk why you’re lying and saying it was the First Ones when we all know Hordak’s gonna reveal that delve was actually created by the Horde.

Jenny D

At least the pie episode is a sweet (pun intended), lighthearted episode. We all needed that break.

Ryan Porter

Oh, two, three? Whose counting? The real question is will Catra lose her last life *fighting* Adora, or saving Adora?

J. Jenny Jameson

That is the saying, unless you're Mr. Peanutbutter. Then it goes "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice... fiddle de de"
