The "wasting his time in a garage" was almost certainty a reference to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, co founders of apple. Who built the first apple computers out of Job's garage in Palo Alto

For some reason, the Patreon app on IPad hates displaying your videos properly when I go full screen, it plays sideways, so I have to turn it 90 degrees then lock rotation, which is such a small deal, but wierd

Not so much taking other appearances - but taking over other *people,* like Bill did with Dipper in the puppet episode. And of course in that episode, "Bipper" had the Bill eyes. Stanley is a lot like Mabel (note the thing on splinters with Stan here and Mabel in the very first episode) and Dipper is a lot like Ford (which we'll *really* see over the next few episodes).

From season 1 episode 2, Stan painted 'Stan o' War' on the dinghy he was hoping to take the twins on. And was crushed when they didn't want to spend time with him. On the boat. Named Stan o' War. God, I love the continuity in this show.

Stanford Pines is voiced by J. K. Simmons. Love that guy. And the Stans' dad is voiced by Jonathan Banks, another fun actor.

Fun fact: Ford's voice actor is J.K. Simmons, who also played J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man movies, the mean teacher in Whiplash, and the yellow M&M, among many, many others.

For all the Ford is lauded as the “smart one” of the twins, and Stan the “brawns”… Stan had to teach HIMSELF theoretical physics in order to repair that portal, no fancy college, on a high school dropout’s education. And he got the portal mostly fixed with just 1/3 of the instructions. And then Ford was pretty good with melee there at the beginning, restraining Stan. So they’ve both started showing themselves as more like each other than they seemed as kids.

The baby in the flashback was Dipper and Mabel grandfather, something that was confirmed in the Gravity Falls game for the 3DS.

Ah, yes — the second-most epic Lore Dump Episode in modern Western animation. :)

I like how they don't end on good terms at the end of the episode. It's a much more realistic ending, given what happened, and like several cases in The Owl House, shows that it's okay to not forgive someone. It's especially painful in this case, but it feels more natural.

I was so happy to hear J.K. Simmons. 😁 It's really hard to pick any side here because both are understandable. You can definitely tell that this was intended for a more mature audience because I don't see myself as a kid following any of this. 😆 They definitely need some time to talk & figure things out. Maybe after Ford realizes how much time & effort Stan sacrificed trying to bring him back & make things up that he can forgive him.

If you want to know what Ford has been up to in the multiverse the next several episodes will fill you in as well as the Gravity Falls book
