Oh this is when the show takes a awesome turning point, we start learn a little bit more about the mystery surrounding Huey, Dewey and Louis's Mom 🤯

David Johnson

Yep, his name is Launchpad McQuack. He was created for the original Duck Tails series. Ah! Scrooge's Number One Dime. It'll be the only one dated 1899 (or 1875 or 1857...depends on which appearance in the comics). Gyro never does anything *stupid* - just sometimes *unwise.* ;)

Quackfaster is basically a nothing-character in the comics, Scrooge's secretary. Like the triplets, this show gave her a lot of... distinction xD "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" is one of the biggest Scrooge Comics, detailing... well, his life and times, from Glasgow up to his first appearance meeting Donald and the nephews. A lot of both versions of Ducktales takes from said book. That's why the book about Della is called "The Life and Times of Della Duck".

I won't spoil anything, but regarding "Project Blatherskite," fans of the original series were jumping with excitement ;3

I love how when they tried to get rid of the Magic Defenses. Scrooge is like: do you know how many vengence curses I have on me!

@ 14:35, why did that voice, when he was looking up how to pick a lock, sound like entrapta's voice.

David Tennant narrates the How to Train Your Dragon books the movie was based on... he nails it. You'd love them.

"Launchpad can't be his real name? Right?" I'm obviously not going to spoil, but keep your eyes peeled during this season. Also, I just love this dialogue: Instructional video: "So, To pick a lock, you first, need a small, thin object. Like a dime." Louie: "If I had that, I wouldn't need the video!"

Kayla Reed

"I don't want her to be a librarian I want her to be someone super cool and important" .........as a librarian....RUDE!

Fun Fact about Scrooge's number one dime: In the comics version of the story, child Scrooge was pretty outraged by getting payed with a dime. After all, an American dime is worthless in Glasgow. He felt cheated, and took it as a lesson and a sign, that life is full of hard trials and those trying to cheat him. And from then on, he was determined to make his way to the top and stay there, by moving to America where he'd work harder and get smarter than the competition, and earn his fortune. As Scrooge puts it: "I'll be tougher than the toughies and sharper than the sharpies--And I'll make my money square!"

This is a good early turning point / lore episode. "What do you know about my mom?" The soft way he asked just killed me. When they introduced the Della Duck mystery, I thought it was gonna be "Woo! Big fun adventure!" But that line delivery alone had me wondering if this was gonna get emotional. Same with the "Spear of Selene". I thought it was one of those throwaway lines, like the heist movie trope where all throughout the movie they keep bringing up "This is just like (city name) all over again!" and they never explain it. I love Webby and Dewey's dynamic. Another fantastic example of a platonic pairing. Not quite Pike and Grog, but they're their own thing. Some people view them more as siblings, which I get. Other people ship them, which I could also see, but I have other romantic headcanons for the two of them individually. That said there's one pairing I'm over the moon for, even if they're not on equal footing. Still others will say it's all about Englabeth & Britannia, which, valid.

Cognizant of avoiding spoilers but a lot of stuff that gets dropped in an episode or plot details are references to the surprisingly dense Donald Duck lore or other aspects of the original DuckTales show or the other early 90s Saturday morning lineup shows. This show is super enamoured with a lot of Disney lore stuff it makes watching it super rewarding
