This was video was requested by a fellow Patron. This had been a members only video on youtube because a small math error I made at the end. I correct that error with on screen information and made it public to everyone.
These are the real-world sonar methods for conducting submarine warfare. Sonar is the primary tool in Submarine Warfare. As in movies like Hunt for Red October and Crimson Tide, we need some basic information about the target before we destroy it. Classification is key for ensuring the proper use of deadly force. Then we use sonar techniques to calculate the general direction of motion, range, and target speed. *note* This is a corrected video of one I produced in early 2020. I kept it private because of a small math error in the end. I fixed the error with on-screen graphics. Enjoy, How to Hunt with Sonar.
