Can you watch 4K resolution video on the device you use watch Sub Briefs?  4K Sub Briefs will be very large files that will stream to your phone, tablet or PC.

Your content is great, but I wouldn't see the benefit of 4K.

Agreed. A lot of the images used are (necessarily) old, or in lower-resolution formats, so I don't think there would be much to be gained from having them in 4K.

I don't see the point for this particular content so far. Most of the pics you have are like vga resolution anyways :)

If you have 4K resources, it would be great to have the briefs in 4K!

Also, perhaps you could post a 4K version as well as a lower resolution version. Similar to how you post both video and audio-only briefs

i dont think there will be much of a benefit when you record in 4k. so stick with full-hd. thats fine for me.

Upload both for the first time to see whether 4K is needed for next time.

I agree with the majority of respondents above. Publishing in 4K would really be a waste of resources, at both ends. 1080p is perfectly fine on a 27" PC screen, and pumping 4K to a phone or pad .. well, those hand-held devices all have their own preferred formats. I suggest that viewing in 4K should perhaps be an option, but not preferred. Also consider, that some of your Patrons do Not have an unlimited/unthrottled 4G budget. Publishing using the H.265 HEVC would be Incredibly helpful for reducing file size.

I don't think for 4k would ad anything to be honest, the briefs are just too perfect already :P Seriously though, the briefs look great all the while being easier on phones/slower connections and such.

Just remember that if you do a video in 4K, Google will automatically render 1080, 720, etc. for people w/o the capability. Might as well go 4K for those who like it.

I tend to have the sub brief in sound in the background, I only go check when you have a specific drawing that you explain such as a "as you can see there, there's that"; but yeah otherwise since you already say/explain what is shown, quality of a video doesn't matter much, the only point quality would matter is for when you have very highly detailed plans of sorts where a higher resolution would help reading what's on it however that doesn't seem to be that often a case so doesn't matter to me. I generaly watch the briefs in 720p or 540p (yeah for some reasons the platform you use do 540p instead of 480p).

Yes. Not to stan but you got me so much back into PC gaming with Cold Waters and DCS that I bought a souped-up gaming PC and a fancy 4K monitor this year. So yes Sir I can and would love to see the 4x more detail 4K offers. Caveat: If you have the static images in that kind of resolution. It is WAY more common than people think - on r/submarines and r/warship porn, people post 4K-ready images all day long. So yes. I support it. And I want it! Thanks. Towed Array aka T.
