My great sword Siren slashed through a skeleton with a harsh cracking noise as my sword shattered the bones more than cutting through them. But at this point, it wasn't just me fighting as Drakia with her moonlight spear had fully reached our battle and was fighting alongside me.

Her spear covered me at more of a distance as we smashed through lesser undead as we desperately kept up with the necromancer who was bloated into some kind of monster that couldn't even move. But the overwhelming power it had allowed it.

'Stupidly powerful regeneration. And even Rose's holy barriers only burning it slightly... How do I deal with this?' I thought as the man cackled madly with his voice almost seemingly drowning in his own internal fluids.

"With Xrakas' power I am invincible!" He roared and then it hit me.

This 'divine' incarnation in which he borrowed power from the Necromancer Queen was clearly a temporary thing as his flesh was literally bloated and bursting from the seams with his undead regeneration being the thing keeping him alive at all!

I grabbed Drakia by her leather top and her eyes snapped to mine but I just space-skipped a dozen meters away and called out. "Long-distance attacks! Don't bother with the undead as he can just make more!"

Because with his enhanced power and the corpses of what looked like all the damned monsters in this dungeon, he clearly had a massive pool of undead he could just throw at us waves to wear us down.

The necromancer roared with fury but his scream was cut short as Rose conjured a holy barrier above his head and then brought the barrier down onto his head making a loud sizzling noise I could hear from dozens of meters away as the necrotic and evil energy boiled on contact with her holy spell.

"It burns! Xraka more, give me more power!"

And my face twitched as his body glowed with a haunting undead green light that was tinged with the darkest of black specks in the corona of energy that surrounded him. But my prior thoughts were right.

His form bloating even more with power, exploded in parts. Gore, organs, and even one of his stubby legs were shot off as his entire body jiggled and boiled in place as the roiling power within... It was just too damned much.

Then I heard Rose chanting out loud while hiding in the jungle growth away from the monsters and then a spear of solid golden light formed above the mass and the Necromancer screamed in fear seeing the holy spear conjuration hanging over his head like an exectuioners axe or a guillotine.

Rose's healing, barrier and more offensive mantras all had one issue really. They required Rose to pray, and even then. None of her mantras that called upon the Light goddess's blessings or wrath were remotely fast in their actions. As the spear she conjured under her willpower shot down with decent speed only due to it falling with the grace of gravity helping it. If she had shot it out like a thrown spear any decent combatant could dodge it beyond easily.

But the necromancer was driven insane by his fel magic, and then bloated beyond movement even as he conjured hoards of undead to chase us. Was now just a sitting duck of a target.

And Rose's holy massive conjured holy spear slammed home into the monstrous growth with a loud gurgle of agony escaping it as boiling gore shot out in all directions. And then his gurgling abruptly stopped before a loud cracking noise rang out and then I ducked down as the potent necrotic energy and Rose's Holy energy exploded with the necromancer exploding violently.

[Level Up X4!]

I could feel a good deal of strength entering my body from my maxed-out stat potential giving me twenty points in almost all my different stats making me hum with appreciation as I saw all the undead collapse instantly with the death of the necromancer.

'Gotta love killing necromancers... They give a fuck load of EXP honestly.' I thought as I turned to watch as Rose quickly jogged over to us to make sure we were alright and then began healing up the scrapes we had to make sure no necromancy-based infection would start to fester in my body.

As I did get some scratches from the undead human skeletons when they came out of the ground and surprised me. "Well, at least he was kind enough to leave the special turtle shell and other stuff to us." I said with a bit more enthusiasm as I checked out the corpses of the Mystic Turtles we were supposed to kill and saw that they were basically all intact for us to begin harvesting.

While Drakia and I began harvesting the turtles for their shells which would be used for a large number of things apparently as the shells were used in enchanting automatons, ships, and other larger machines. I spoke up to Rose and Drakia. "So you guys leveled up too right?"

They shared a look and Rose said wryly. "Actually Jake... How many times did you level up from that fight?" She asked and I realized that this system didn't have an EXP bar or anything so I just answered honestly that I got four levels. To which Drakia rolled her eyes and said with some jealousy. "We only got a single level out of that Jake, and that was coasting off the level up we got from helping you deal with those demons where we didn't level up at all."

My lips twitched at that but what could I do about that... I was a cheat who was basically getting told to go fight a demi-god or an actual god in the physical world if the way the Necromancer Queen was able to enhance that Necromancer. To say nothing of the demons as well.

Either way I coughed and said more enthusiasm. "Well let's look at the bright side. There is still the dungeon boss so we can still easily get you guys another good level or something!"

Rose got to work cleansing the area of the necromatic taint while Drakia and I got to work collecting the monster materials we needed for the quests that we had taken. But after we finished collecting the materials from the turtle enemies we were supposed to kill. We moved deeper into the dungeon in search of the door leading to the next floor of the dungeon which held the Dragon Turtle boss of this dungeon.

"So any advice in killing an ultra-durable boss like the Dragon Turtle?" I asked Drakia.

My dragonkin partner made a noise of thought before she shrugged and said with a wry smile. "Blow up it's head I guess. The shell is supposed to be stupidly thick and all but immune to magic to say nothing of it's ability to resist physical attacks."

So yeah that left me with just bleeding it to death over time or actually attacking it's head when it would come out of its shell. But regardless we continued deeper intoi the dungeon and I learned that Necromancer didn't clear out all the monsters as we also dealt with a half dozen more of the mystic turtles whose whole thing was just being a magic immune tank that would try to run you over.

Such monsters although annoying because I couldn't fry them with my lightning, could still be bled out or when they got stuck hitting one of Rose's barriers I could just slam my sword into their soft spots and just scramble/fry their not at all magically immune innards.

But after a while of wandering around we finally found the tunnel leading to the next floor in a tunnel with a marble-like entryway that reminded me of the entryway to the Goblin Dungeon I found previously. And my thoughts proved correct as we went into the tunnel and found the Dragon Turtle boss of the dungeon in the second floor of the dungeon.

The first floor of the dungeon was a beautiful jungle, beach, and ocean setting but the second floor was simply a beach with a gentle yet firm 'sun' radiating from the blue false sky above us that filled the large beach with a gripping warmth that wasn't too much but also nowhere near cold enough to complain if you stripped off some clothes.

Also, this room was clearly just the boss room as, after we crested over a sandy hill, we found our quarry with a large marble door behind it inlaid on an odd hill. The Dragon Turtle was huge... Probably about the size of an elephant in height but far wider and its large back was covered in thick large spikes.

And more importantly, between the many spikes adorning its back, there were the magical glyphs that the Mystic Turtles had that made them all but immune to magic hitting them from a distance and colliding with the shell.

'Their shells remind me of my anti-magic armor to be honest.' I thought before taking a breath and saying. "Drakia, can you please go to the side and get its attention. And make it shoot some water arrows at you. Should its head leave its shell, I will have a perfect chance with my teleport to lay a good hit on it!" I explained with some excitement for my plan with Drakia biting her lip in thought before nodding confidently.

"I can do that Jake... Just don't expect me to fight it for long as it is ten levels stronger than I am." She reminded me bluntly making me pause before I mentally noted that down and made sure to take the first chance I could get for this.

While Drakia got herself into position I looked at the spiked back of the dragon turtle and fell into thought before I looked at Rose who stiffened at my look but I smiled and said. "Rose, start chanting and try to conjure another one of those spears over the turtle. And can I touch those without getting hurt like your barrier?" I asked quickly.

And Rose nodded quickly as she said while she put her hands together and began gently glowing with a golden holy light. "Yes, I entrust you with my life Jake, so my faith brought holy chants will not harm you." After she said that, she began chanting the couple dozen words long chant to summon the holy spear of the Light Goddess and the Drakia seeing Rose also getting ready. Struck as hard as she could at the Dragon Turtle!

The spare spear that I made her for if she ran out of mana to use her preferred conjured moonlight spears slammed into the side of the turtle boss as it heard her charging across the sand and I quickly flew up and over towards the boss while keeping its back shell in front of me so it couldn't see me.

The Dragon Turtle's head was very aptly named after a dragon as it draconic mouth snapped at the close Drakia with a roar of fury. As Drakia's spear had pierced one of its legs which was now bleeding a good bit across the pure white sand staining it a dark maroon.

Drakia using her own silvery wings to help her maneuver even if she couldn't fly like myself skidded across and almost danced across the sand as she skated away from the Dragon Turtle as large balls of water formed inside its mouth. As those water balls condensed into sharp solid arrows of compressed water, the Dragon Turtle began aiming them at Drakia who was frantically running away from the Dragon Turtle to get far enough away to dodge the lethal elemental attacks.

I took the chance and opportunity as the Dragon Turtle was so focused on Drakia after not seeing anyone else remotely around it. And instantly I teleported onto the sand with my great sword in mid-swing.

My greatsword bit heavily into the exploded neck flesh of the Dragon Turtle but as I felt my sword collide and shatter some of its neck or spine as I cut halfway through its neck. Those water arrows violently exploded!

Next thing I knew I was laid out on my ass with the false sky above me as a ringing was going on in my ears as my chest hurt like hell. I groggily sat back up and I saw Drakia was fighting the Dragon Turtle whose entire front part was covered in blood and still leaking blood. But even as I felt Rose's weaker healing spell hit me from a distance I could tell I got fucked up a good bit by the water spells exploding in my face.

As just because my anti-magic armor protected me for the actual water from the explosion of compressed water. That didn't stop the noise and force of the water slamming into me from causing harm, and I could distinctly feel that my right shoulder was out of its socket from where I got blasted across the sandy dunes.

'Lesson learned dammit.' I cursed as I took a breath and relying on my sports knowledge from my past life I tucked my arm against my chest as I hefted up my sword with a shudder of pain with my other arm as I thought. "Gotta end this then... Or I could just let the Dragon Turtle bleed out, but sounds like a bitch move... Fuck it, my shoulder hurts.' I thought before shaking my head.

As I knew that bitching out of a fight just because I had a broken bone would set a terrible mindset for the future so I hefted my great sword in my left hand as that shoulder was only slightly sore. I came in with another teleport behind the heavily bleeding Dragon Turtle.

And I rammed the sword into the softer sides of the turtle where one of its legs was sticking to turn to look at Drakia and continue to smash her as it wanted to.

A gurgling hiss rang out as my lightning surged within its body and my sword had stabbed into its very much not magically immune inner organs and Drakia seeing the turtle shuddering and convulsing danced forward and I saw her wielding a conjured holy spear that Rose summoned up.

The dragonkin woman rammed the massive oversized conjured spear directly into the face hole of the turtle and the Dragon Turtle violently heaved before abruptly going still and I damn near collapsed in relief as a dinging noise rang out with sweet relief hit me. [Level up X2]

"Jake let me heal you now," Rose spoke gently as she helped unclasp my armor, and then she began chanting a prayer to begin healing my ribs while Drakia came over and I admit... I screamed a bit when Drakia surprise grabbed my arm and shoulder and with a loud crunching noise my shoulder was fixed as it was properly put into its socket... But that didn't change that it fucking hurt!
