Sorry for the lack of updates! I was puppy sitting for my grandma out of town while she had surgery! She is completely okay and everything is good I should be back to normal schedule tomorrow and will catch up with shows!

The only gods/goddesses shown to be able to charm others are the Goddesses of Beauty, namely Freya and Ishtar. Others may be able to, but just haven't been shown using their charm. Charms, along with all gods' and goddess' divinity auras, aren't considered to be part of the Arcanum that they are forbidden to use in the lower world. Ottar isn't a bad guy, it's just his alignment to Freya that is putting him in a rather bad light in the anime. Scenes like his using an elixir on Mikoto show that he at least somewhat cares about others. Freya is everything to Ottar because of their past and his loyalty to her is absolute, no matter the orders she gives him or who she takes an interest in. Sword Oratoria getting a second season is HIGHLY doubtful. Season 1 wasn't very well received by fans because of the perspective change the anime took compared to the LNs. The LNs were from Ais' point of view and the anime was from Lefiya's. I was rather indifferent to Lefiya, but most people seemingly really don't like her character.

2021-10-01 13:33:15 Gotta love how bitchy the encounter between 2 War Gods was, tbh (Ishtar and Freya are, in addition to being Goddesses of Beauty and Fertility, War Gods as well (essentially the deceased warriors are split 50/50 between Odin & Freya in Norse mythology), there's actually quite a lot of overlap between their overall Spheres, too)

Yeah, unlike the others, she goes above and beyond the Letter of Freya's orders, to more align w/ the SPIRIT of things, because of how slightly different his POV is to Freya, as opposed to the other ones who are more obsessive towards her in less than wholesome sense, compared to Ottarl. Might actually be why he's Freya's direct servant (in addition to being the only Level 7 in Orario, obviously, sure), cuz she wouldn't like to entrust delicate shit to the other petty bitches in her Familia and all that.

If you wanna know about Sword Oratoria, just read the light novel, but be careful not to read too far. As for why Ottarl saved Mikoto, there's no deep meaning behind it. he just did it on a whim. And as far as Hermes and Zeus goes, during the time Hestia and Hermes go into the dungeon to save Bell, He tells her exactly who sent him (he says Bell's grandpa sent him, not that it was Zeus) and why (to watch over him), but this conversation only takes place in the light novel, in the anime, Hermes only mentions that someone sent him to watch over Bell. Zeus was sipping tea on a veranda when he read the news of Bell's record-breaking rise to Level 2, causing him to spew his tea all over (remember that he considered Bell to have no talent). He immediately sends Hermes to Orario to send him reports on Bell and help him as necessary.
