I understand Vigr. They already had so many changes and now a second outsider is in charge. It's a lot to take. And honestly I wouldn't be too fond of it either if I was in his situation. But like Fremja said, I'm sure he'll warm up to Roamer, or at least Ronja's decision to make him Baron, once he proved himself worthy. ...which will probably be the case soon when we look at Ranachs plans...

Sadly I think I'd feel the same as Vigr if it were me in this situation. His irritation is justified. Admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of Roamer, so that likely helps my feelings a bit.... I may be either alone, or one of the few in this but, I just don't feel Baron is the appropriate title for Roamer. I just think Ronja's being a tade biased with her decision to make him such an honorable title right off the bat, without him first proving his worth. But that's just me. I love Fremja though, she's such a cinni roll. I want to hug her.

I for once agree with Vigr and understand his suspicions. Rogio was a Commander for such a long time and then even Baron under Ranach, so it makes sense for him to be in that position again. Rogio lived there for years, knows the Tribe and they know him, he was a good choice for a Baron and a clever one, too, as he could help Ronja with things she don't know about. Roamer however? I don't understand this choice at all, beside Ronja playing favorites or at least wanting to do him a favor. I think Rogio should be the only Baron at the time and Roamer should either be a shepherd or a herbalist, knowing he has shown zero leader qualities and is a Roamer himself. It's good he doubts himself this time but I honestly think he shouldn't be a Baron right know. Ronja was thrown in that kind of position without choice, but Roamer? It's different as there is no need for him being a Baron, as Rogio will fill in just fine and i enough, considering how small the Tribe is at the moment. Fremja however is a great friend and I am so happy we get to see more about her! I also love her design very much, also that of her sister. Still a shame Ferah isn't related to them. Anyway, I do wonder how Roamer will feel, getting a routine instead of roaming and exploring, like he did before. Can't see him happy with that, new mate and Ronja or not.

While I absolutely love Roamer, I do agree he should earn his rank before being given it. I completely get Ronja wants someone in her corner that she knows. She grew up with Roamer, to her there is no one else she knows better. Even if it was announced he would trial each position first before becoming baron, meet everyone and earn their trust before he took the position. Roamer also likes to be mobile, the only time he will be able to do this this is when the barons meet at Solar Stag (?) for that annual meeting. I can also see the good in having Roamer as a baron. The tribe is changing. While the tribe does know Rogio, some may also wonder if his motives are true or if he stands by Ranach. It may be good to have an outsider with the position to help guide everyone to a better path, especially someone who grew up with the same ethics as Ronja herself.

Roamer is an exceptionally kind character that I've personally found very charming. His friendship to Ronja and his very nature provide a much needed 'light' to the darkness of the Meteor Tribe's past. However, culturally speaking he is in direct cultural contrast to those of the tribe who are struggling to move on. His presence as a Baron is a stark reminder that things have changed. What's more, those who were (or still are) sympathetic to Ranach's reign are provided with ample reason to scoff that outsiders have "overtaken" them. (Since Ronja and Roamer weren't originally from MT). It could be plausible that we will see it being a rally cry that they need to "take back" the MT for themselves. If that is the case, such influences are in its infancy. However, Ranach's summoning/sacrifice to Avantifegr gives me pause to consider this as a real possibility; that blood will be shed within the MT. I don't know if this undercurrent is strong enough to be real; we'll have to wait and see :) . That said, I do hope that Rogio and Roamer are able to find their happily-ever-after, and that there is nothing to fear. I hope that this is merely an opportunity for Roamer to experience character growth and that all will be well!
