Hi all!

So, during the festive season (where those Terry's Chocolate Orange pieces were sadly absent for a change), I was thinking that as we move into the demo getting done and the work beyond that, it would be good to start getting regular updates on the Thrallworks game specifically as we progress through the year.

The Orientations had little 'showable' additional art to go along with them during development so I only really talked about them when a part was close to being done. Now that we're past that point though I'm hoping that future additions will contain at least one or two things every fortnight or so that I can share with y'all, as well as updating the code in the game to run better (or just talking about how transferring the code to Unity is going, which I'll be doing post-demo).

So that's what I'll be doing. Every two weeks I'll be posting up an update for all of you $5+ people, along with some previews of artwork being done for it (sufficiently spoilered for those of you who don't want to be spoiled.) For $10 people specifically there may be CG image alts that I can show you that won't make it into the game or some additional details for the time being, and when I get to certain development thresholds I've other ideas in mind to get y'all a little more involved in the process. Such $10 updates will likely be more haphazard for a while but I've confidence there'll come a time where I can provide something good.

So yeah lets get down to it!

So above is the first CG I've worked on and completed for the 'combined' version of the game. Initally I'd intended it to be an image you can unlock in every route, but it may end up being specific to the Guilt Route, specifically the part where she's checking over her thrallsuit while she thinks she's alone, discovering there's nothing to really get purchase on and that it's not 'worn' as much as it has blended with her flesh.

(The above is also more 'finished; than I'm expecting most of these updates to be, but I thought y'all might like to see summat like that for a first time.)


Game Fixes

I re-uploaded the Fear Route and made a few fixes as follows -

  • Fixed bug that made pre-droning screwy if you leave the pod to give L-D19 time to think about her predicament.
  • Corrected a number of grey-screens in the Cerise dialogue options.
  • Fixed some glowgem animations between triggers of L-D19.

If there are any more bugs in the Fear Route, let me know.


In Update #2 a couple of weeks from now the Fear Route will be open to all you $5 people as well! Happy days.


Anyway that's all for this one, I just wanted to set up some intentions and show off some art. There's a lot to do and a lot I'm looking forward to showing y'all; thanks for joining me on the ride and lets aim to keep things regular eh?
