hello everyone!!! I have a pretty insane update on the needler!!! I have designed a mechanism that will retract a needle every time the trigger is pulled! yup, it's insane! ok, there is a bit of story to this, recently I have been working on an original design for a pistol prop that could transform from a pistol into a hand cannon with plates popping out and parts moving around, the big thing with it is I wanted to use a mechanical mechanism instead of an electronic one, to save on internal space, AND IT WORKED! woohoo! and I realised at the beginning of the needler that with a bit of modding, the mechanism could be used to retract the needles! AND THE FIRST TEST HAS WORKED!!!  wooohooo!!!

Patreon is a bit weird about adding vids so here is a link to the vid of the mechanism on FaceBook :D

so with this added feature, the model has completely changed, the model will feature!

bolt-together construction,
internal details
retractable needles with every trigger pull.
and if that wasn't enough! lighting effects!
because the needle mechanism is mechanical I'm planning to use limit switches to control the lighting in the model as the needle is retracted the Led lights in the needle will be switched off! :D

now as this has basically turned into an Op project I might need a bit of extra time to test print this model and if you guys are ok with waiting a bit longer for this model?  ill continue on making this absolutely insane project! :D

This is an insane question, but is there a way to put it into the needle rifle or is there just too much distnce between the needles and the trigger?

OddWorks

that is an awesome idea!!!! and yes it's possible! but that model would have to be reworked from top to bottom if not started from scratch! I do love the idea and if this model works out ill have a look into the needle rifle :D as for the movement from the trigger to the needles it will be tricky but doable :D
