Needler Wip! modeling complete! (Patreon)

hello everyone! I have an update on the needler! the modelling is done! and the model is ready for test printing!!!! wooohoo :D man, this thing is a monster! It is by far my most ambitious project to date! to the features! to keep the assembly a bit more simple the model is mostly put together using inserts instead of bolts, the model features removable orange plates revealing internal detail, sticking with the idea of adding meaning to the design choices at the bottom of the model there is a tun of cooling fins as well as the main power bank, witch funny enough is also where the batteries for the model are held :D

speaking of batteries this model has spots for 44 LEDS!!! yup that many! :D they are all over the place from the barrel to the side parts to the needles!

oh and about the needles! the needle mechanism, it's insane!!!! it is by far the most complex mechanism  I have ever worked on! it's 59 parts all by its self nevermind the needler model and almost all moving parts! :D right now I'm on V3 and I'm printing V4, one of the biggest issues have been having enough space to have 4 of the mechanisms running parallel to each other, its made space on the x-axis extremely valuable and sadly I have had to make a few concessions, I have to switch to rubber bands instead of springs to save a few mm's as well as having a limit switch for each needle was not possible though I can have one that will turn off all the LEDs so when the last needle is down all the needle LEDs will turn off :D

so far I'm happy with how its going and I'm hoping with V4 the main issues will be sorted! wooohooo :D oh and with this models modeling finish, TIME TO GET STARTED ON THE M6C pistol!!!!!
