Hello, everyone, this OP projects Alloys bow from horizon zero dawn 


This is one of those projects I have wanted to do for a long time but did it have the skills to do it justice but I think I’m finally ready to do it :D 


So what makes this an OP project?


These models feature set :D 


The bow will be assembled using bolts 

The arms will have a system that would allow the bow to be fully compressed 


Using a system of moving parts transferring the motion of the bow limbs into the rest of the model powering other moving parts.


Imagin as you pull the string back, parts of the bow shift into place, the drums full of gears spinning around storing up the energy. The bow almost transforming its self! Ready to unleash all its power!!


that’s the main idea for this project, whether or not I can actually complete is another thing 


Risk of this project.


This project has a pretty high chance of failer Mainly due to is main feature the moving parts in this model will be like nothing else! With multi-linked parts and gear assembly’s, this will be the most mechanically complex model I have ever done and will be a major learning curve. 


Second is the model as the model compresses something needs to uncompress it, my main idea is to have bands uncompress the limbs and have them hidden in the frame, the big thing with this is designing it in a way to give just enough power to uncompress the model but not enough to be able to propel an arrow.



As for the major benefits from this model, ill learn how to transfer mechanical movement from one part of a model to another giving me the ability for future models having major moving parts :D
