I used to know a couple who lived in Pittsburg, NH. This was in 2012 so fairly recent. If you've never looked that closely at the state of New Hampshire on a map, Pittsburg is the northern most town in the state and borders Canada. They lived on a private, dirt, road and to get to work in the winter they did indeed need to use chains on their wheels. Even though the road was plowed, it wasn't always plowed in a timely fashion. The chains were pretty annoying because once you get to the end of the dirt road you need to get out of the car, unfasten the chains, drive forward off of the chains, then get out and put them away. A couple of years ago my dad also gave me the chains kit to my Dodge Caravan. It wasn't a poorly thought out gift or anything, he just worked at a car dealership and a van came in on trade that actually had those so he gave them to me. They're in the my basement and if I ever actually need them that's where they surely will be just so I can say, "Damn, I actually could have used those things."

I still consider this the best episode of the series, hands-down. One of my favorite subtle jokes is that the episode is book-ended with Homer doing severe damage to the streets of Springfield (first with the snow chains and piano, then with his improvised anchor).

Great episode! I finally watched The Music Man yesterday and it was amazing as expected. Do you think you guys can do it for April’s non-cartoon movie sometime? I’d love to hear your guys breakdown.

Christmas Ape

This is one of the most famous episodes of The Simpsons, so of course I'm going to comment on two of the obscure, tangentially-related clips you played: -The funniest moment in Steel Justice is the flashback to the son's death in a drive-by bazooka attack. -That particular episode of In Search Of has some dire predictions for the distant future year of 1990.

The musical score in this episode is so underrated. It's just perfect! 😁 Great review, guys! Laughed all the way through! 😄
