Easily the darkest, bleakest of the Pixar films.

In the many years I've spent looking at media discourse; I've kind of come to the realization that the line of nitpick questions of "How does this exist? What do they use for money? Do all cars have sentience? Why would Cars have eyes?" never actually...helps people enjoy a movie more? The questions always kind of lead to dead ends and people often don't enjoy the answers they get if you were to get big answers. If Toy Story 5 were to give a canon answer to toys having souls since the beginning of time which explains how they move; I think more people would hate that than the questionable ambiguity that's lingered throughout the series. I understand when a movie is so dull or counter-productive to it's own ideas, but I've realized that trying to breakdown movies based on stone cold logic never brings to greater satisfaction of story or appreciation of film-making. That being said, it doesn't forgive Cars for being just kind of an overly simple, kind of dull movie that borrows so much from a better live action film (Doc Hollywood). Cars 3 is atleast a good movie, but the franchise still looms as a blemish to Pixar's reputation because of how much it's defined by Lasseter.

One of my sons favorite movies since he was 2. He is 4 and a half now meaning I have seen this movie or portions of this movie at least 150 times.
