What A Cartoon! - The January 2023 Schedule (Patreon)

Un-possible as it may appear, 2023 has arrived, and we at the Talking Simpsons Network are as surprised as you. We'd have sworn it was still 2020, but be that as it may, we still have a big month of podcasts planned after we wrap up our holiday break. Not only are we giving away one of our 2022 What A Cartoon Movie episodes, but we've got podcasts about a pair of Valentine's Day stories, AND we dig into a Disney classic from a tumultuous time for Walt.

Yes, soon our discussion of 1991's Beauty and the Beast will be available to all; over FIVE HOURS of us discussing the trouble production of this Disney classic, and going scene-by-scene through it. Be our guest!

Talking Futurama - "Love And Rocket" [Patreon: 1/9/23]

The first of our pair of early Valentine's Day podcasts, we're exploring a 2001 film parody that recasts HAL as an ex who takes rejection poorly. Yes, it's a typical Futurama battle of the sexes, with some very funny moments you might have forgotten were in this episode. So grab a pile of chalky candy hearts and join us!

TalKing of the Hill - "And They Call It Bobby Love" [Patreon: 1/16/23]

After an explosive season opener, it's time for the characters to engage with their love lives—Bobby's in particular—as he thinks he has his first girlfriend. Watch the uncomfortably realistic moments of middle school emotions, all cast against a story of free couches and giant steaks. Just don't ask us for help with algebra!

An Extended Free Preview of Dumbo [Patreon: 1/30/23 - Free Feed: 2/6/23]

After taking some months away from the House of Mouse, we return to cover one of their earliest classics, about a big-eared elephant that everyone abuses. It's a story of maternal love and mastering the stage, all set against some drunken psychedelics and at least one song Disney+ warns you about before the movie starts. So grab your lucky feather and get to flying!

And remember: $5 patrons and folks on the free feed will hear an extended preview of the podcast, but if you want the whole thing (and access to all other episodes of What A Cartoon Movie) you'll have to bump your subscription up to the $10 level.
