Possible correction or maybe I'm missing something but every source I've seen says that Ed Asner DOES play Cosgrove in that Teen Titans Go episode. Listening to the clip it does sound quite a bit different but it could just be the fact that he was 90 reprising a role from 25 years prior. Maybe somebody involved has said definitively but I wasn't able to dig up anything in a cursory search

I don't have access to the episode to check the credits, but it doesn't sound like a 90-year-old Ed Asner voicing Cosgrove; it sounds like a younger person (50s or 60s?) doing an admittedly good Ed Asner impression. And it's not an official source, but IMDB lists Paul Rugg and David Warner as having played their characters in that episode, but not Ed Asner.

I just checked the actual end of episode credits for my own curiosity and it does credit Ed Asner as Cosgrove!

Around the time that Kotaku got the rights to Game center cx, that was when I was going real hard in the paint for that show. I can't believe Nina had a role to play in all of that! To be annoying for a second, how do you watch the show? It was a lot easier six or so years ago. Is Nina just a torrent hound? They've gotten very litigious 😅

For me, another great Ed Asner role and another case of Andrea Romano being an amazing casting director was having Ed as Granny Goodness in various Justice League productions.

Asner's voice seems to have stopped aging sometime in the 80s because I can hear my kids watching the new Dug the Dog (from Up) show upstairs and Asner is in it and his Carl sounds the same as it did 10+ years ago.

Speaking to Muppet things that scared me as a kid, the big one for me was this VHS release from Golden Books based on the book “Wanted: The Great Cookie Thief”. https://youtu.be/OPUUG4L63ws The interstitials scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid, giving me nightmares and making me shiver all over. What made them so scary is how well they were animated compared to the rest of it which is mostly still images. Plus the menacing music and the fact that Cookie Monster is drawn as a black shadow moving menacingly don’t help in the least
