Animated movies especially are great for both their expressiveness in the characters as well as their use of color to emphasize emotional undertones of the narrative. Unlike with live film, every color in an animated flick is painted by an artist or chosen deliberately which is really interesting!
To test the waters with this, I've linked a composite file that includes quite a few screens from a couple films I studied a while back: The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.

Disney has always been the go to inspiration source for a majority of the furry fandom and for good reason! During this study I primarily grabbed screenshots that really hammered home the expressiveness Disney films are famous for as well as the anthropomorphization (boy that word is a mouthful lol) of feral or beastly critters. (the way they made the paws on lions more like hands was especially was cool to me and a great example!)
Anyway! I hope this appeals to at least some of you and thought it would be interesting to share as a resource so others can learn and observe with me! I could see myself doing this for more films in the future c:
