Content

Hi all,

Thank you to those that came to the livestream. It was a lot of fun and nice to chill.

We talked a lot about Patreon while we messed with the Hydrasynth. I had some ideas I wanted to bounce off everyone. This was sort of a "board meeting" for Patrons, and it worked well. Here are some meeting notes:

Lessons

I will be posting about this more and rolling this out in the next few weeks. I want to start offering lessons to people on subjects they think they can learn from me about. This includes DAW stuff, hardware stuff, video stuff, etc. There will be different tiers for different amounts of time each month. Yes, they can rollover.

Lessons will also be available ala carte.

Mastering

The lesson tiers will include a track of yours being mastered by me once a month. This will also be available ala carte.

Livestreams

As long as I'm working on making Patreon and music tech "my real job", I'll have time to do more regular livestreams. We'll do these once a month and I'll be working on getting a livestream setup over at my modular rig to do livestreams there.

Q+A

Q+A videos will retain the same format and be once every two months.

"RMR Reviews"

One thing I didn't mention in the livestream was the idea I could be doing more than one channel for different kinds of content. I'm pretty firmly against this, as a feel like the variety of content on the main channel allows for a more well-rounded experience for viewers. I also feel like I wouldn't have the kind of leverage with companies to get gear to review if I told them it would be on a second channel. Hope that makes sense.

If you have any additional thoughts or feelings about all this, let me know in the comments. I feel strongly that with the right moves, music tech could become a full time job for me, and I would love that. :)

Talk soon,

-j
