This is actually a conversation I have relatively often, around picking books.
Honestly, because I have choice paralysis when it comes to reading, especially if I'm really busy and pressed for time. I don't want to pick a book that I'll end up not loving that I spent my time on?!
For me, it is a multitude of reasons listed below that will get me to make the final choice. But in the end, what makes me pick the book will probably be the summary... which, now that I'm really putting it in writing, is a little terrifying because of how often I struggle to make sure the summaries I'm writing are well done and gripping...
