Have you guys seen “Sound of Freedom”? Any Q-Anon fans here?

Of course if they remade this movie today it would be Womannequin.

Dan

Razorback is on TCM. It is a stunning film. Any thoughts on the film or TCM’s current issues?

More like Theynnequin. Because of the Woke Mind Virus and all.

Rodgers, thoughts on Daniel Ricardo back in the car? Do you buy the rumor they're replacing Checo with Danny or Yuki?

Is Ice Pirates an action movie?

I’ve got some good stories saved up, just trying to build up my courage to leave a vm.

If you guys started pumping out a lot of video content mocking all the masculinity-pandering shit online ala your recent ABZ Instagram 'ad' it might be legit good for society. You have a more working class/blue collar vibe than most left comedians, Joe Rogan fans might actually pay attention.

This isn’t a directly action boyz question, but with stitcher closing up shop at the end of august, is there a new long term home for the Gino Lombardo show ?

Loved the GI Joe shadow wolves. If you do another action cartoon, I'd like to throw Exosquad out there. (At the very least, I think ABZ listeners would really dig it. The full series is streaming on Peacock right now. For those who never watched, it was a Universal Cartoon Studios series that aired bright and early on school days during the early 90s. Exosquad is basically GI Joe meets Star Trek/Aliens/Force 10 from Navaronne. Good story, and voice acting and pretty violent for a kids show, i.e., no last minute parachutes or life pods from exploding ships.

I saw the eagle spirit G.I. joe action figure and had to get it. Thought it was going to piss off my girlfriend that I’m wasting money but she spent 150$ on a third hair dryer so I was in the clear. Thank you for influencing me.

Ben, growing up in Buffalo did you watch “Off Beat Cinema”?

Pleas don’t discuss Oppenheimer yet. I have IMAX 1570 tickets on August 10. Dead Reckoning is fair game, I seent that. Thanks Boyz

Paul

“Sound of Freedom” is fair game too. 😉

https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/16/us/rex-heuermann-gilgo-beach-murders-capture/index.html Sincerely curious to hear what Gabrus thinks of the Gilgo Beach murders being solved. South Shore of Long Island beaches and Nassau County are like "High and Mighty" buzzwords to me and sadly my only knowledge of the area comes from a comedy podcast (I've only been to Ft Drum in NY, its embaressing). It was an honest snap back to reality that "oh yeah this is an actual community, not just a comedy bit, holy hell the world is nuts". Would love to hear his perspective just as someone who has a strong love for his hometown and knows the area and the community enough to give a different viewpoint.

Have any of the ABZ checked out either of the recently released American Gladiators docs? Or are you saving it for an American Gladiators Shadow Wolves episode?

On a recent ep, there was a mention of voicemails about Emilio Estevez and how much he loves Cincinnati. Coincidentally, I had been considering calling in to share a story of him in Cinci. Hopefully a comment will suffice; the idea of calling in and leaving a voicemail makes me feel queasy. One of my best friends is from Cincinnati; she was visiting family there about 8-10 years ago and ran into Emilio Estevez in a bar in Over-the-Rhine (the hip area of town). Over the course of the next week she ran into him a few more times and he became infatuated with her--understandable, she is a super-interesting and beautiful person. She gave him her phone number, and he called her SO MUCH. To the extent that she had to start screening his calls, which resulted in him leaving extremely long voicemails on her phone. She played some of the voicemails for me, and they were often just him rambling about things like going to Austria to check out a castle to buy, but the fun tidbit is that he calls himself "double-E" in the voicemails. Oh, and his tone of voice in these messages were kind of similar to a pilot doing the "this is your captain speaking" spiel, if that makes sense. Anyway, that's the story! Thanks for all the laughs, excited to hear the Shadow Wolves about Mannequin. I loved that movie as a kid; can't help but wonder how well it has aged, particularly the treatment of the Hollywood character.

I want to thank Gabrus for giving me a general understanding of Long Island geography so that I am this much more consumed with the Gilgo Beach killer story... I keep seeing interviews with some of Long Islands finest characters, who are just hanging out at the crime scene in Massapequa Park, and I am curious to know what the conversations with your hometown folks have been like.

We’ll reference weekend at Bernie’s for ever? That’s not even in the Actionboyz lexicon. I believe you mean Men At Work Boyz

Serial killer from Long Island I’m not sure what question to ask but yeah they just caught him .

I'm from Cincinnati and that whole family is WILD! I've met all of them in some capacity through the years (I'm a videographer in the midwest, hence the access) and they are enthusiastic (I guess that's the right word) about everything they do. Martin Sheen is from Dayton, OH just up north and is a true pleasure to be around, super chill, Emilio and Charlie are on another level though, lots of manic energy, but energy that is still pretty focused. I met Emilio after a screening of his movie "The Library" that was shot here, and had a fairly normal conversation with him about filming, but that is wild that he hounded your friend like that, boundaries my guy!

Gabrus, any chance of getting Nick de Semlyen on H&M?

Have any of the ABZ heard of or played the video game "Immortality"? It's an FMV game with a metanarrative that takes place across outtakes, rehearsal footage, etc from three different movies that were created specifically for Immortality. Gameplay consists of watching the footage and selecting objects that cross-cut to related footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8tV-R7Rfhg
