Just like the movie they are covering, the ActionBoyz are more than meets the eye. Wait till you hear Gabrus make the famous transforming sound. You won’t believe Stanger’s rambling story about a toy he got for Christmas but can’t remember what it was. And witness Rodgers touch the matrix this episode and become Rodgimus Prime. It’s TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE this week. Merry Christmas ActionBabyz

Took me back to when my mom threw out all our Transformers, GI Joes, etc. because me and my brother absolutely refused to clean our room. Still upsetting 30 years later.

oh man Rolling Thunder! I had that shit. My aunt and uncle who we only saw once or twice a year would always get me a crazy ass playset or like real nunchucks/bordeline inappropriate weapons for a kid. They loved toys and video games they would buy all the new games as they came out they'd pull out shoeboxes of new games to play when we went over there.. uncle's a right wing gun nut even as a kid I remember him spouting Rush Limbaugh propaganda. Used to remember staring up at a big leather thing he would plop down on top of the big wooden TV, in hindsight I realize it was his gun

I could listen to gabrus talk about beast wars for hours.

Even Thomas Pynchon likes Beast Wars. He references a few of the characters in his last novel, Bleeding Edge.

I think it's weird how much Mank is getting knocked for historical accuracy. It doesn't distort the facts more egregiously than any other film that's based on a true story. I get not liking it because it's pretty dry without a lot going on, but I think film buffs have been a bit too protective of Orson Welles' legacy or whatever.

Action Boyz is the most relatable podcast ever if you’re from the east coast and were born in 1982.

I got an unopened copy of Pokémon Silver from a friend when it came out. He was a rich kid and his parents got him gold and silver, he didn’t like the Pokémon on the box, so I got it. My mom chopped it up with a hatchet screaming about how those games are of the devil because the “pocket monsters” evolve.

Some people might find this extreme but it sounds pretty mundane to me. I remember when my church held an emergency meeting about how to deal with Pokémon and Harry Potter.

Because I am a Very Fun Person, I did the (very basic) math: This Action Boyz episode is approximately 189 minutes long, making it 2.25 times longer than the film it is discussing (84 minutes). I think this is a record? The episode on Rumble in the Bronx is 180 minutes and that film is 87 minutes, making that episode 2.07 times longer than the movie. Is there anything that breaks the might of the Autobots in this regard?

Based on my data (I know, I know) the closest is Ninja III with 192 minute pod and 92 minute film resulting in 2.09 ratio. Of course, in the future we'll have Firewalker with 229/105 = 2.19.

I used go through the McDonald’s drive through just for their eggnog shakes. Damn, I miss those!
