Well wolves, it is time to get out the juggling grenades. The Boyz threaded the needle of a Thanksgiving themed, ABz adjacent film this year.

Since the Boyz appreciate Joe Bob Briggs and Paul Thomas Anderson, I just wanted to point out that PTA's dad is the original horror host, Ghoulardi - a fact that blew my mind when I learned it.

Have the boyz seen Mortal Kombat now has Rambo and Robo cop in it? https://youtu.be/RXlDBE23l6U. Makes me hopeful Paul Kersey will be in the next one.

Stanger, I accused you of having a problem with curly hair, because you've made fun of James Caan and Michael Rooker and the guy from one of last year's ninja movies. Glad to hear you like it, looking forward to your curly perm at the next live show.

Wow, didn't expect there'd be some Secret Life of Plants talk in this episode. I gave a vinyl of that soundtrack to my screenwriting professor in college. One of the only vinyls I'd ever seen that had braille imprinted into the sleeve. Unrelated, but that same professor later got a bout of strep throat that manifested into a form of necrosis and had to get all four of his limbs amputated. All of this to say if you ever get strep throat, keep an eye on it. Shit can turn dire very quickly apparently

The other books in the lonesome dove series are pretty good but don’t really compare to the peaks lonesome dove has. They are definitely bleaker too.

I’m liking the idea of prep school movies. “Taps” would be a good one.

The Clone Wars is essential viewing if you’re a Star Wars fan. It connects some major dots the prequels fail to connect. I had the same feeling as Rodgers for the first few episodes but I eventually got hooked in. Importantly, the animation and overall aesthetic improve greatly as the show progresses

Guy with 65 year old dad who listens - we went on some road trips around Australia and he drove me around the East Coast when I was in the US for Christmas and listened to a lot of the pod. His favorite bit is all the Trump impressions.

Came here to say this. Stick through the early episodes or just skip to season 3. The animation does improve over the seasons as well. Rebels rules as well.

I was thinking the same thing when Rodgers bailed on it. The later seasons are great and definitely worth watching if you’re a fan.

Re: Jazz and Red Hots. I got into Jazz about 10 years ago and obviously there are some albums like Kind of Blue where everyone should start but some of my favorites are - Mingus ah um - Time out brubeck - Someday my prince will come - Green street - The swinging guitar of tal farlow - Sketches of Spain - Wes Montgomery Trio I’ll have to pick up the Flea biography. I read Scar Tissue, the Kiedis biography, and it covered his early life which was messed up through the modern era of the red hots. It was a fine read and really goes to show you that success is sometimes just being extremely lucky (eg-being Fleas friend).
