Any suggestions on how Rodgers could have handled the situation differently from the very start with the flower lady?

The whole situation was FUBAR from the jump. Only way Rodgers could have handled it differently was to not accept help with the plants. Every other way, it would have been misinterpreted as a signal.

He didn’t need to do anything differently, she wasn’t respecting his boundaries and he doesn’t owe her anything. He was honest with her and she can’t ask for more than that! Dude’s just going about his life being nice to his neighbors. I totally empathize with the woman because I’ve totally built something up in my head before that just wasn’t there with guys, and I was cringing the whole story because I saw my past pre-therapy self in her, but what ultimately needs to be learned is that her projections of what something *seemed liked* are totally on her, and it’s not on the dude who was just being a nice neighbor to soothe her emotions. The idea that male and female neighbors can’t chill out together for fear of “misinterpreted signals” is gross and regressive and sad to me!

Not angry! Just spirited, I get where you’re coming from, but I hope to live in a world where dudes and chicks can have fun neighborly gardening times without anyone worrying about the other expecting anything more, & not end up in a world where men & women ONLY are comfortable being nice to each other if they want to date each other, which sounds awful!

I live in LA + have 3 more Shadow Wolf friends who would definitely come to a live show or screening. ALSO would love if the ABz did just an improv show! I know Stanger and Rodgers have been on Gabrus & Friends, and Gabrus has been on Shitty Jobs, but would be very cool to see an hour of improv from just the Boyz!
