Hey all,

Time for a monthly update!

The stuff we are showing off this month is the cleaned and colored shot of the Deadbeat scene we showed off the month before last!  One thing of particular note here is how unexpectedly technical it is to add in the heart beats they have in their centers.  This is *BY FAR* the most we've ever had them move about, so getting the hearts all beating properly is a lot of set up.  Traditionally, we would also have their little antenna squash to the beat as well, but I think as an act of mercy towards the animation side, we will be reserving that for when they are standing still.

Additionally, we are showing off the lines for a Vivi/Ancestor jump shot.  The reason we want to show this one in particular though, is that the animator behind it is @Zeurel, who just now released the first episode of his pilot show, Monkey Wrench, so I wanted to plug that real quick!

In production news-

In addition to the usual progress, this month had a particular focus on getting in some special effects added into some shots.  A certain previously alluded to character is finally getting some effects included and boy-howdy are those shots going to be fun to show to everyone...

I recent had to upgrade my crusty old version of Toon Boom so that I could keep up with these special effects we've been getting in and that kind of expense is made much easier with what is being contributed by all of you.  I forget if I've brought this up before, but I think it's safe to say that pretty much all production at this point has moved from "Some shots are done in Adobe Flash" to "EVERYTHING is done in Toon Boom" now.  It has certainly felt like its been a while since I even really touched Flash, though we'll have to go back and add in backgrounds and effects to those older shots once they are ready for it.

I believe at this point, all of the animatic now has all of its proper, finalized parts to it now, all that's left is to chop it up in to parts and time it.

I think that should mostly cover the news this time around.  We've got some impressive work done this month, though at the same time, some of the most demanding shots are coming down the pipeline, so it will be getting fairly intense for the team soon.

As always, thank you to everyone for your constant support and helping us get through this project!
