Chapter 9

Mrs. Braxton is an angel! She only met him once and she wants to promote him!!!

Jason couldn´t believe it! How come this happened? Why him? He had some second thoughts. Part of him chose to believe this was all a lie, and that he´ll be getting fired still. But, what if it wasn´t that way?

“Yes, that woman. And, before you say anything, she´s a very serious woman, ok?” He started.

“Anything about what?” She so “innocently” asked.

“You know what I mean! I can see that smile on your face. I bet you wanna say that promoting me is part of some elaborate plan to seduce me, am I right? Or wrong?” he knows how she gets some times. She wasn´t the jealous type, that´s something positive, but he never expected her to laugh about another woman trying some sort of move on him.

“Wrong… I wasn´t going to say anything about a plan. I was just going to say that… I think she really wants you.” Teased Nataly and then broke into laughter.

“Stop! And… why are you laughing about it?” Seriously, Nataly seems not to care if he´s having an affair.

Well, the truth is, Jason cheating on him with an executive giantess? That´s not something she´s scared about.

Nataly´s a bit more aware on how this works. There´s a really small chance, maybe null, that this gigantic woman wants to nail him. If anything, she´s just trying to keep him close because she´s trying to protect him.

Nataly´s wiser than he might think. This “promotion” is only because she might feel he´s some sort of push-over, a man that has been left behind. She feels sorry for what happened to him the other day. And that´s it. Besides, a giantess like her trying to seduce Jason? Yeah, sure…

Nataly stopped laughing, eventually, and added: “Ok, fine. I´m sorry, don´t get upset. Look, I´m glad for this news. Trust me, I´m happy for you. Maybe they have finally noticed all the potential you have.” She said, meaning those words, don´t get it wrong.

“You… you think so?” Jason may dislike it when Nataly makes fun of him. For anyone to make fun of him. But his mood changes rapidly.

“I´m sure. Jason, you´re a good employee. You´re always on time, never skip work. You work hard, and it was about time they noticed.” She reassured.

“Well, thanks!” And to think he thought she was going to make fun of him all night long.
