Deciding between a few ideas, but 80% sure this will be the one. More character-focused, slower paced series. Mix of trad fantasy and xianxia—setting will be largely trad fantasy inspired, with a lot of Xianxia in the magic system.

Temporary Synopsis:

Prophecy tells of a Hero born under a shooting star who shall slay the Lord of Demons and bring peace to the Song Dynasty.

On the eve of the summer solstice, just such a child was born to the family of Song Dynasty's General. At his birth, there was such a shockwave of power that the lamps went out for miles. Great men the realm over gathered to pay their respects.

But this is not his story.

This is the story of his twin sister. A sister just as ambitious, intelligent, and driven as he—but where he was born with a magical core of unparalleled talent, she was born with none at all. She is an embarrassment to her bloodline and a scourge on her family name.
